Warning:
there is flashing effects/colourful
effects/cutting/ritual/slavery/dismemberment/self harm/man on woman
violence/impaling/stabbing/domestic
terrorism/shooting/burning/strangling/drugs/medical
I shouldn't have witnessed that: briefly; when Paul Racine [Christopher Lambert:] he
works in the world of computers, witnesses a ritual killing and he himself is
left presumably dead, but isn't [I can tell you that much, because if he was
left for dead we wouldn't have a film here,] his life is in danger, but there
are some people that would like to help him, all he has to do is accept their
help to begin with
Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 110 minutes film is
good; it is well structured and it just gets on with things with a good pacing
Art
and action; we get an excellent performance of Taiko [Japanese drums]
complemented with a dancing performance, other art including without giving too
much away; this gray sequence with this female character remaining in usual
colour or/and other mental recalls and on top of that we have action sequences
which involve martial arts or/and this lengthy action sequence which visually
has also seamlessly together; it would be honest bullet train where there was a
lot of blood being spilled or/and this closing action sequence of events has
also been artistically externally put together with for a small reference, some
of the scenery being brought down.
Character
developments, performances and comedy; these are all good versions/performances
of what they need to be, from their helpful young girl to the comedy/the sword
smash that clearly likes his home-made or otherwise sake and rebuilds a good
friendship with Racine even though they are on both counts can't understand one
another and there are other commonly bits and pieces now and again you just
have to read the subtitles.
This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; or on reflection and based on
positive components or/and elements I have decided to award this project and
extra mark, so after everything is said and done this film knows what it is
doing and what it can offer its viewers l which is this a good film about
someone being in the wrong place at the wrong time and everything that
filmgoers/film viewers would expect from that as well
