Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/sexual misconduct/vehicle crash/burning/medical/references to sexual assault, domestic violence, capital punishment and torture.

There has been a murder at the White House: briefly; Detective Harlan Regis [Wesley Snipes:] a Metropolitan homicide detective, that get brought in the White House to hopefully solve this case, he gets given an liaison in the form of Special Service Agent Nina Chance [Diane Lane:] she is a highly skilled individual on multiple levels, but the more recent times is a member of the security details

Generally speaking: the storyline/script, framework and pacing of this 107 minutes film is predominately to begin with is really, really quite slow and it does need our lead performer Snipes to generate some very much needed get up and go to proceedings, much later on he does get some support from Lane as well.

Character developments, performances, comedy and action; the character developments are reliable versions of what they are meant to be, with Snipes very much leading and carrying this film; what with a bit of comedy to defuse this life-threatening situation, with a personal issue that affects where he is living, just long enough so he can punch this individual consequently diffusing this situation; his enthusiastic chemistry and simultaneous need to find out the truth is so vitally important to the success of this movie, Lane broadly speaking to begin with put in a good performance, but also without giving too much away, it does really help when her character switches alliances so she can puts in a more in depth performance, so it becomes an excellent performance to have excellent chemistry with Snipes and their on-screen characters to also contribute to the atmosphere and momentum

Art, comedy and action; for a small moment we get to see what Detective Regis does with his free time and possibly why he doesn't want to move in fact he makes a reference to this as well still highly creative art, we also have the usual guns firing, chasing and so on and so forth, but towards the later stages of this movie we have a small selection of characters somehow getting into this location.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; as I have already indicated in one way or another it knows what it is and sticks to it with predominately Snipes being the spearhead for this movie, much later on Lane assists in their partnership and yes without him; this film would have really fallen on his face
