A Shadow is seeking revenge: briefly; Shadow the Hedgehog [voiced by: Keanu Reeves:] he is a very powerful individual that is seeking revenge for something that happened 50 years ago and after dealing with Sonic the Hedgehog [voiced by Ben Schwartz:] he has made his family and home on Earth alongside his family and team, they decide to go and seek the assistance of someone that they rather wouldn't work with in the shape of Dr. Ivo Robotnik/another character [Jim Carey:] he is a long-term enemy of Sonic and his team, but as you will see Dr. Robotnik to begin with is not in the best shape.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 110 minutes film is; well it has a clear idea of what it is doing and it's objective and sticks to it without any problems.

Art, action and comedy; the animation is more fluent and then previous instalments such as Team Sonic takes on Shadow for the first time; they have designed it so that; it has that big moment sequence feel and presentation which it doesn't disappoint or much later on; Dr. Ivo Robotnik and his partner in crime are dancing through these security lasers; the choreographing is highly entertaining, be it from a visual perspective or/and a highly comical perspective as well; to the track Galvanise by The Chemical Brothers released in 2005. I would be highly disappointed if at some point down the line if this sequence of events didn't pick up at the very least some nominees for positive awards.

Character developments, voice performances and performances; broadly speaking all three of these have been excellently progressed, fresh and up and/or Jim Carey pulling double duty is masterfully hilarious as for a tiny example we get a small reference to the Green Lantern 2011 film. But let's begin at the beginning now; for the returning characters they have been smoothly updated be it voice or physical appearance and now with the natural and smooth integration of Keanu Reeves as Shadow the Hedgehog; that so far like everyone else that takes a voice role in this franchise so far to date; they naturally gel as one and physical appearances; Alyla Browne as Maria: without giving too much away; she is a very close friend to Shadow and Krysten Ritter as Director Rockwell; she is a high-ranking officer that works for G.U.N [Guardian Units of Nations;] she provides a stern character that is doing her job, but we don't have one of those type of characters were it is a very basic version of this character type; she is a well rounded in-depth version of this character type; so that if need be she will push against all comers; be it Sonic and his team or anyone else; so consequently likewise she gels in with the rest of this cast.

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; in one way or another it has lots going on and as an instalment it does move things along with computer game versions in the closing credits including but not limited to one extra credit scene at each section, so altogether there are 2 extra scenes.
