Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/mental health/psychological abuse/domestic abuse/domestic violence/sexual assault/propositioned self harming-torture hostage/stabbing/cutting/child abuse/burning/medical. Because of the subject matter I will be discussing it in a very real tone, so yes there will be a censored adult language references in this content and I will be brutal to some extent, so you have been warned from the very beginning.

These three individuals are individually or in different pairings or/and altogether screwed up in the head: briefly; we need the Winchesters; Andrew and Nina [Brandon Sklenar and Amanda Seyfried:] they are expecting a second baby, but she hasn't told her husband yet, just based on the fact she wants the first part goes smoothly before she announces anything, so she is looking for a housemaid and that is where  Millie Calloway [Sidney Sweeney:] she is a woman that has a colourful history, but is desperate for this job, so the Winchesters take her on as their housemaid, but things quickly get out of hand.

Generally speaking: the framework, in a monologue, exposition of the character developments later on in the film; separately or together including atmosphere and pacing of this 131 minutes film has been designed to make this film deliberately uncomfortable, tiresome and garbage viewing

Action; psychological or/and physical abuse, domestic violence and forced self harm

Character developments and performances; I just don't care about them on either level or any level, I really couldn't give two dumplings about the exposition character developments, when they come into the film, usually I would somewhat try and sugarcoated by saying something slightly nicer like on both counts they were poor or something like that. But as you will read in the final section of this content, this film deals with domestic abuse on different levels or/and adult themes in a bizarre almost glorified manner and for me to attempt to sugarcoat that would be highly disrespectful to anyone that has experienced any form of abuse in the real world, so there is no genuine chemistry between this cast of characters or/and performers; they are just doing the formulaic style/approach to the character developments, consequently performances and on-screen chemistry; so if this is what they were going for here they struck gold.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; this is one of the worst films I have ever seen in my life, but then again all it is doing is; highlighting what most of us already know that if you are physically good-looking that on some level you can get away with this kind of behaviours, so it is very much falls into the category of social commentary.

But because I have been around films for a long time now, I am not surprised anymore by the hypocrisy of this project, because if any man was going to walk free in this project, I can guarantee you without a shadow of doubt the outcry/backlash would be colossal, but because of it being two women it seemingly gets high praise, even though one used the other one to escape and then forgiven for that, like I have just referenced if a man did any of this to all men hypothetically if the man was bisexual I can guarantee you the woman wouldn't be so forgiving. Maybe next time we have a feminist ball-manure film we can have them doing some scissor action and let's go 100% feminist and make sure that they are on their periods at the same time so that they can bave in each other's cycle and just for the record I cannot stomach or stand this police officer that looks the way based on she being a woman and she recalls this family related situation, once again I guarantee you if it was a man in this vulnerable situation, this female police officer wouldn’t be so eager to look the other way; I mean I am not condoning any of this film, but on a certain level it is just female feminist hollocks. I mean I get it, I am far from this film’s demographic for sure, but in the same token everyone needs to stop complaining, when they find out the hard way that this modern generation or/and upcoming generations of women are essentially emboldened by this complete garbage, to face no consequences or anything like this.

I know I am just referenced this, but I know, I know by today's standards I am an angry 40+ white dude that no one likes to hear my opinion, but in this case this is completely irrelevant based on the fact many years ago now I was in a psychological abusive relationship and apparent friendship/family circle and because of my gender no one believed or help me, in fact the vast majority of them systematically put me in a very dark hole, just before this I had been officially diagnosed with mental health illness, which I had to scratch and claw myself out of; it took me 2 years and only people that have been through something similar will know what this is like; basically if you know... you know and if you don't be thankful you don't know and/or keep your mouth shut.

So when I see films of this nature making a mockery of mental health or fast and domestic violence of any kind, you can see why I get a little bit fudged off, as I said to the person I watch some of this content with at the time in the cinema, something to the effect of; if you weren't here I would have walked out by now, on reflection I would have probably stayed just so that I could get this content better completed and incidentally their opinion broadly speaking on this project is; it is so unbelievable.

This film also has some awards accredited to its name as of first dictating this content 2 Nominees which includes but not limited to Astra Film Awards 2026 Astra Award Best Book to Screen Adaptation
