The Coliseum: briefly; after an incident that has been in this
underground fighting arena known as the Coliseum Alex Grady and Tommy Lee [Eric
Roberts and one of the Producers in previous instalment as well: Phillip Rhee:]
are trying to find out what happened here and then it becomes a story of
revenge.
Generally speaking: the storyline/script and art is pretty straightforward
hence why I have been a little bit vague, but we have the framework of scenes
of its predecessor and for early 1990s; good caption display display on these
characters/performers: Even though I have said the storyline/script is
straightforward it does take some time for this film to get down to the
training/revenge outlay and we do have the brothers character developments
which are good, but putting that to one side it takes is some ages to get going
so the first I would say 30 minutes are really dull and this film only goes on
for 101 minutes, but after this it follows its outlay with a good pace.
Action;
we have this hit on this location which is entertaining, there are good
montages of training and different styles of one-on-one combat; these are
solidly good.
Character
developments and performances; no surprises here, but by and large because of
the storyline/script is of an outlay of revenge the character developments very
much follow their outlay as well, but the two brothers issues can be seen known
as a big asset as for a little while it offers something different as it
flushes out one of our main characters in this sequel and consequently the vast
majority of these performances are good, they are meant to reflect their
character types and they achieved that. But however Meg Foster as Sue
MacCauley: she is a sports reporter for KXRT Sports and she is in a
relationship with Grady; but based on the performance she cannot act for love
or money, there is zero character; she does give of the impressions she may as
well just be having a script right in front of her face and reading it, there
is no feeling of chemistry, just very much going through the motions.
This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; after everything is said and
done this mark is a fair outcome, if you can just get through the first large
section and yes I am aware we do have the action in this section, but on the
whole it as I have already said really dull
