The Bell of revenge rings loud for Bella: briefly; Bella Swan and Edward Cullen [Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson:] this human and vampire are still discussing putting a stopper in Bella's sand timer, as Jacob Black [Taylor Lautner:] as he is of the werewolf community now sworn to kill vampires including the Cullen clan if they break the treaty by feeding on the people of Forks. But like it or not Edward and Jacob will have to work together to keep Bella safe the woman that they both love whilst both species work together to deal with this threat; trained by Jasper Hale [Jackson Rathbone:] he is still a relatively new vampire, he is a part of the Cullen family/clan, he has knowledge and experience of what is coming, he also has a vampire girlfriend in Alice Cullen [Ashley Greene:] she can see visions of the future, but they are subjective, she has always known that Bella and her would be best friends.

Generally speaking: the storyline/script of this 123 minutes is good; as it is straightforward as it knows what it wants to do and get on with it, but we have a problem with the art and consequently character developments; what the hell is going wrong with Edward? We see this couple in essentially sunlight and there are absolutely no signs of him sparkling or something to that effect or anything that effect to be honest with you and if that wasn't bad enough what the hell is going on with his ageing process; as a vampire Edward/Pattinson is not meant to be ageing; but it is so obvious he has aged; where on some occasions and you can clearly see his natural skin tone, on other occasions they have lately tried to slow it down whilst on other occasions they clearly haven't bothered, but with every other vampire they have put in the effort and time to at minimum look as if they have put the effort in to slow it down, but with Edward/Pattinson; it is like that will do, but it is completely unacceptable based on the fact he is one of your main characters/performers; this is just beyond woeful.

Art, character developments, action and comedy; the landscapes, expositions on the character developments are individually or together of a very high quality indeed and let's be honest it gives you/us a nice break away from other components which are not so good. The action is another consistent positive of a high standard when it gets going into roughly around the final quarter, including but not limited to Bella at some point punching Jacob in the face, but breaks hand in the process; Emmett Cullen [Kellan Lutz:] he is the strongest vampire from Cullen family, that sees Bella as another sister, but his girlfriend doesn't; her name is Rosalie Hale [Nikki Reed:] she is a vampire taking in by the Cullen family/clan, that has always been cold towards Bella.

Character developments and performances; well let's be completely honest including what I have referenced earlier, but focusing on our main trio of Bella/Stewart, Edward/Pattinson and Jacob/Lautner: they chemistry be it character developments or/and performances are at best broadly speaking are jarring; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it is just annoying; there seems to be very little in the way of consistent mature growth; I mean don't get me wrong there are glimpses very tiny glimpses of growth, but then there was some form of something to squash it or derail it and no I'm not including the moment of comedy between Edward and Jacob: I would consider that to be mature growth between them as in that is; as best as it is going to get between them to considering they are on opposite sides of the divide and they are both in love with the same woman.

That is why I was so grateful for any form of other character developments to get away from this trio or in different pairing for a while; so the surrounding characters need to be given high praise for being able to distract and carry the focus for awhile and just for the record they don't deserve the negative awards accredited to this film; for an example Jasper/Rathbone should have a thick accent being from the US Civil War so I'm not too sure if at all Rathbone did wrong.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; the surrounding characters and their exposition on a character developments, is a big asset to this instalment as it flushes things about as it relates to those characters/performers and it does take some focus away from this love triangle which as I have already alluded to as somewhat become annoying, but the person that I would some of this content with an I still had a good time at the cinema watching this film.
