Well I tried: meaning I have heard and seen online the negative feedback of this
match and I really did try and to go in with the idea of let's see how long it
would take to find something I didn't like about it and it just took roughly 13
seconds Nia Jax performs this jumping into Jade Cargill splash with Cargill
coming off the ropes and Cargill goes down like a sack of potatoes, so I knew
what ever happened next isn't going to be good and before I continue full
disclosure I am going to cover my back by saying I have watched the vast
majority of this match, because the version I am watching may or may not show
the entire match due to breaks of some description.
But I digress; Jax attempts to perform this suplex to the outside
nearest the commentators table and Tiffany Stratton goes through the legs and
pulled down Jax: the only reason I bring this up is to point out; you know when
you get that feeling that they are either moving to quick and no one is really
being the ring general and following the script and keeping everything
together, regardless of what I know about this match slot, based on my viewing
experience watching this match and producing this content roughly at the same
time pausing to do it, I am not surprised that things went south.
Stratton performs this really sloppy kind of pushing Jax's shoulder
into the top right ring post, Stratton and Cargill try this move which I have
no idea what it was meant to be which turns into a pin combination: this is
just really sloppy. Booker T. acknowledges he almost called Michael Cole Vic
Joseph.
Jax pulls Cargill underneath the bottom rope as she is running off
them, to drag her and me nearest the commentators table: if Jax left it any
longer she wouldn't have reached Cargill, yet again this is really sloppy work
here.
What is this absolute manure?: You clearly have Jax and Cargill
discussing the next incoming spot; clearly getting into the right spot then
Stratton coming over the ropes to perform a suicide dive to the outside where
she screws up as a foot gets caught: this really is amateur hour on both sides
of this sequence Cole making reference to the fact that Stratton made a mistake
and I have just realised that Jax for the first time in this match hit Cargill
in to the steps or as Cole says into the post: which this is important for
later on.
I have had enough now Jax performs a double clothesline on both of her
competitors I see she hasn't learned about using less force entry does this
really stupid dance afterwards.
Between the three of them they couldn't even get the mechanics of a
double superplex from the top right turnbuckle on Jax to look confident [they
even had the grapefruits to replay it from a different angle and is still look
bad] and a little time later we have the crowd going this is awesome which I
beg to differ.
Cargill goes in for a Kevin Owens style power bomb on Stratton: which
looks it again unsurprisingly sloppy, but luckily enough Stratton turns it into
a hurrincanrana.
Cargill performs Jaded on Stratton: you would think Cargill would feel
at home performing this move as it is a finisher, but from the reversal into
this move and the execution is just so ugly, time to rearrange the commentary
table with Cole saying thanks.
Now this is where this match slot goes from amateurish into plain ugly
Cargill tries to lift Jax again and yet again Jax hits Cargill's face into the
steps were at some point Cole makes reference to the fact that Cargill is
busted out.
We have a steps sport where Jax set up to perform a suplex with her
comments of game over dude I mean her bleed with Cole somewhat cleaning up on
commentary saying game over folks: this is what I have grown to expect from
Jax, with Cargill reversing this into a samoan drop which doesn't look
comfortable or easy to pull off and with Cargill clearly looking angry saying
something to the effect of it is my time and T. bringing it up on commentary as
well with the referee: Daphanie LaShaunn checking on Cargill at this point
things are getting really messy and let's hope Cargill isn't out for too long with this facial injury, but knowing the WWE as I do they will probably make it into another element of a storyline/feud which at this point is very much painting over the cracks of Jax is a liability, so it probably will happen again and again, before people start saying accidents happen in the ring and if it was just a little bit of blood I would regard this as it happens, but when your face looks as if someone has just squirted tomato sauce/tomato ketchup on your face, then there is a clear problem, [this is where I should point out if you go to
WWE they have cut out the controversy: but I will just go somewhere else.]
Basically: everyone was late/no one took responsibility out of the
three wrestlers on this controversial spot and as far as I can tell LaShaunn
tried to manage it, even though she has apologised for this situation, when she
really didn't need to, yes 99.9% of the time I would be on this botch like a
rash, but in this one rare situation, she had a lot to deal with, so as a last
resort you try to fix the situation and manage it, at the time at least someone
took someone responsibility for this shower of manure, so what I am saying
nicely or as nicely they can at least someone had the grapefruits to stand up
and be counted when the chips were down.
It is about time that everyone calmed down, because the reality is simple no one is going to get fired, because if they were Jax would have been gone twice over by now in her career minus leaving the WWE, yes to a certain extent the but stops with her mainly for two reasons; because she is a veteran by experience/age she is automatically put in to the role of ring general and on top of that she has a history of hurting people in the ring and for the other two in one way or another I have seen enough of them to come to the same conclusion; individually they are both as good as the ring general you put them with in any capacity be it opponent or tag team partner and finally for LaShaunn I hope someone got to her and says something to the effect of you did good with what you had to deal with. I would recommend if she is in a similar situation or anything like this again; to quickly make a decision to go to the blindside of the pin fall: that way she has some plausible deniability, I know by doing this she will get criticism anyway, for being out of position, but in these situations they serve a purpose in a nutshell the match must continue, I know her job is to be in on the theatre of wrestling, protect the talent but she can also protect herself a little as well, But the WWE hierarchy should be giving her hopefully high praise for attempting to go on the fly and bringing this match home.
