57 years later: briefly; Ellen Ripley [Sigourney Weaver:] she is found and revived; in short she is asked to go down to this column which may or may not have been taken over by xenomorphs/aliens, after some pushing she agrees to this overseeing/expertise role to this mission heading down to

Generally speaking: the script, framework and pacing well; for the first 60 minutes [an hour] there is no nice way of putting it to put across what I mean so I may as well just come out and say it; it sucks. I mean I get it I have been creating content for roughly 15 years at this point; so I get what they were trying to do with the background and flushing things out, but by doing this; it makes this sequel feel A. Really slow and tedious and B. Feels so much longer than what it actually is; I mean if I didn't know that this film was 137 minutes long [yes I looked this up and I was still surprised,] because I thought it was comfortably closer to 180 minutes [3 hours; even though I watched this film from TV so I could fast-forward through the commercials.] But for the remaining of the film it moves much better and with purpose, it has to be said I am no idea and the person I watch some of this content with and I agreed why couldn't they just condense the background stuff to a much shorter time and get on with things basically.

Art and action; throughout this sequel the art has an ever present; be it the outer space, the set designs and wardrobe, xenomorphs and everything around them including action sequences; so as you can read there is I would say I would say a solid amount to take away from this sequel.

Character developments and performances; broadly speaking on both counts they are good version of what they are meant to be and their performances reflect that. Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley, Carrie Henn as Rebecca Jordan/"Newt": she is young girl of the colony known as Hadley's Hope. Between these four in different combinations they really do a lot for this sequel; in particular Ripley/Weaver and Newt/Jordan as they both without speaking about it kind of adopt as mother and daughter as they both have lost so much already be it time or relations or opportunities, Lance Henriksen as Bishop: he is a synthetic and science officer on the Sulaco, as most of you should know Ripley has problems trusting synthetic what after her last dealing with one so that gets brought into play and Michael Biehn as Dwayne Hicks: A corporal in the Colonial Marines, he and his unit has been the assigned this mission, he is a good marina level-headed and down to earth; so there's you can see there is plenty to work with here.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; as you may understand by now after it holds itself together and actually feel and look like an alien film then it is good, it just depends if you can sit through the large section at the beginning. This film some awards to its name such as 20 Winners Academy Awards, USA 1987 Oscars Best Effects, Sound Effects Editing Don Sharpe and Best Effects, Visual Effect Robert Skotak Stan Winston John Richardson Suzanne M. Benson. 25 Nominees which includes from the same award ceremony/event Best Actress in a Leading Role Sigourney Weaver and Best Music, Original Score James Horner.
