To capture the Citizen: basically; FBI Agent Eric Matthews [Benjamin Bratt:] he
has been waiting 5 years to be given the opportunity to run his own operation,
so he has been given this opportunity to capture this individual, which it
turns out that this individual will at some point target this Miss United
States beauty pageant, he wants/needs
FBI Special Agent Gracie Hart/other name [Younger Gracie Hart: Mary
Ashleigh/Older: Sandra Bullock:] she is an excellent agent that means well, but
sometimes things go wrong and on top of that, because she has always been l
predominately one of the guys even when she was little and works in a very male
oriented landscape, she doesn't have too many female qualities about her, but
luckily enough they get given the details to Victor Melling [Michael Caine:] he
is a partially disgraced pageant consultant that that has his work cut out with
FBI Special Agent Hart/other name
Generally speaking: the script, framework and pacing of this roughly 110
minutes film is good and straightforward; you know there is a plan and that is
up to it.
Action
and comedy; FBI Special Agent/other name at heart always tries to do the right
thing, she tries to save this suspect's life from choking on a nut by giving
him the Heimlich move or/and much later on running and jumping on somebody for
having a gun on them, besides this; we have a consistent recurring reference to
her hiding food attempting to eat it later, but being caught by either Melling or this dog and towards the end of
this film; Stan Fields [William Shatner:] he has a long-term association with
this Miss United States beauty pageant and is one of the presenters of this
competition; but for here and now he is desperately trying this year's
competition to close with this closing standard mutable number, but behind him
let's just say the world is going to Armageddon behind him on the stage.
Character
developments and performances; the character developments follow their outlays,
I am not being disrespectful, but then again if it looks like a duck and floats
like a rubber duck then; then what you have is a rubber duck, so his character
developments are good, but let's be completely honest here it is down to the
performances of this cast to make them; in-depth and three dimensional with personalities
and brains; so the cast achieve this with flying colours in particular Bullock,
Bratt and Caine all having excellent chemistry.
This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; I had the pleasure of
watching this film at the cinema on its 25th anniversary with the person I
watch some of this content with; the film as a whole still holds great value
for being an entertaining movie even though it is straightforward. This film
has some awards accredited to its name such as 7 Winners that includes but not
limited to American Comedy Awards, USA 2001 American Comedy Award Funniest
Actress in a Motion Picture (Leading Role) Sandra Bullock and 8 Nominees that
includes but also not limited to Canadian Comedy Awards 2001 Canadian Comedy
Award Film - Pretty Funny Male Performance William Shatner
