Calling It Out of: Mercedes Moné being called or revert to as a GOAT [Greatest Of All Time] 2025 by AverageMansReviews
Warning:
there will be the usage of censored adult language references in this content;
I have a feeling that it will be more than I usually do.
In the words of John McEnroe
"You cannot be serious":
now eventually when I stopped urinating myself with laughter, I think people
are getting confused between this expression and what is best for business: now
unfortunately the only person that this does not apply to is Terry Bollea
a.k.a. Hulk Hogan and this is only because for him it is one and the same. Now
before I receive backlash for these comments and if you have been following me
long enough you know or you should know I can't stand this individual and he
has done more than enough to tarnish his GOAT legacy. But the uncomfortable
truth and reality of that truth is without him absolutely no wrestlers would be
in the position they would be today, he took the wrestling industry alongside
another penis head by the name of Vince McMahon: between them taking the
wrestling industry to Galaxy new heights, but the irony is together or
individually they did everything in their power to stop the wrestling industry
from developing past their control, which as of this content the prime example
would be unionisation, in short go and ask Jesse " The Body" Ventura
about it, he was the one back in the day pushing for this until Bollea snitch
to Mr McMahon, Ventura lost his job and consequently this thing known as
unionisation never came past.
But
for Moné to be referenced/talked about as a GOAT is like saying I have a big
sausage in the front of my underwear, hell I might even get some people to
believe that, but that doesn't make it true.
I
define a GOAT as an individual that not only takes the industry or whatever
they want to do by storm and make it better for others and the future and the
last time I looked Moné/Sasha Banks left everybody hanging when she and Naomi
walked out of WWE Raw Monday 16/05/2022 as their WWE Women's Tag Team
Champions, I don't care whatever the dispute was, you don't leave your fellow
female wrestlers hanging, I should clarify if they wanted to walk out, they
should have done it after this match so that it doesn't disrespect or leave
your fellow wrestlers in the manure, that is what a real locker room
leader/GOAT does, for one moment in time in this case put others above yourself
and because I am fully aware of the younger generations I am strictly talking
about the people you wrestle with the get the wrestling promotion screw them,
it is about making sure as I have already indicated for this one moment or moment
in time you do what is necessary be it to the business or/and your legacy.
I
mean from Moné's generation from within the WWE there are two GOAT's Becky
Lynch: she came from nothing in a Irish gimmick from NXT and worked for
everything she was given, okay her latest idea for the WWE Women's
Intercontinental Championship by timing was too soon and consequently didn't
work as well as it possibly should have, but generally speaking her motives
were positive as in working with Lyra Valkyria and even though as I have just
referenced it may have been too soon, but whilst we are here and now Lynch as
long as she gets a good run and good feuds this can only be eventually or
looking back on it in many years if this championship is allowed to blossom as
a good thing. On a very quick side note; it is completely garbage of the
highest order that people are referring to Becky Lynch as Becky Hogan in
reference to Bollea and this is completely manure, because she doesn't deserve
that, she is trying to make women's wrestling better to when which this won't
be for many years yet when she retires: she again be safe in the knowledge that
she did her best to try and move women's wrestling on, so the future wrestlers
can pick up the fight.
The
second for me is: Bayley, what people seem to be missing is being a GOAT is not
necessarily all about championships; even though yes that helps obviously, but
in Bayley's case she does a lot of the unsung things like Lynch they both had
to work really hard and put over talent, but for me Bayley is the equivalent of
Arn Anderson: doesn't do much of the fancy stuff, but is a highly skilled
wrestling that you can rely on to hopefully more often than not give you an
excellent quality match, but I have to say that quicker she worked this out, meaning
she realises she is more gifted/talented than what she is, the better it will
be for her and anyone she comes up against.
But
back to Moné, granted I haven't seen her wrestle for a long time, but for me
she isn't that good and I have thought light this for years, so from a business
perspective it is wise to give these championships to Moné as it elevates the
reputation of the promotion in question. But having said that there will become
the time where questions will either come up or/and have to be answered and the
more championships she gets hold of the quicker these questions will pop up if
they are not already beginning to pop up such as; okay what is the bigger
picture here? The uncomfortable really, really uncomfortable question is see
AEW could put more time into their women's division if they wanted to? What
happens to the rest of the women's rosters that aren't getting a look in due to
Moné throughout these promotions?
I
think that AEW and these other promotions are sleep walking into a whole host
of problems if they remain on this course for too much longer, I mean if Moné
wins the AEW Women's World Championship from Toni Storm at AEW All In Texas
Saturday 12/07/2025 this would make her seventh championship that she is
currently holding and I know I have said this already or indicated it: then
what? I mean all it does is eventually told your audience that our home base
rosters are not strong enough to carry our championships so we have to get an
outsider, I can guarantee you that if it isn't happening already it will do
soon, where the audience is will turn against AEW, Moné and their various
partnerships and their owners.
I
will leave this content on a very slight joke I have to say that I find
interesting that fans will reference Becky Lynch as Becky Hogan, but not
Mercedes Moné as Mercedes Hogan: when it is clear that Moné is more like Hogan
then Lynch ever was or is ever likely to be from this perspective; she is only
interested in putting herself over, making lots of money, keeping these women's
divisions and like Bollea; Moné can't wrestle either.
