Warning:
there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/medical
Wrong place at the wrong time: briefly; Andy Fiddler/other characters [Eugene Levy:]
he is going to this convention of dentistry, he is giving the speech. But
unfortunately not everything goes according to plan as he accidentally gets
caught up in this situation, where he is completely out of his depth. ATF Agent
Derrick Vann/other characters [Samuel L. Jackson:] he is working on this case
of weapons shipment and the death of his professional partner.
Generally speaking: the framework pacing of this 83 minutes film is good,
as it knows what it is from beginning to end and sticks that, but as you can
imagine for a 83 minutes film it doesn't have time to waste, so things from
beginning to end always feel like they are progressively moving with some get
up and go to proceedings.
Action,
comedy, character developments and performances; at some points in this film
individually our lead partnership will end up taking a bullet in the posterior
and likewise at this partnership will have a role reversal type comedy where,
the domineering will become submissive and the submissive will become
dominating. The character developments are good versions of what they are meant
to be; yes absolutely the basis of our lead partnership; of ATF Agent
Vann/other characters Jackson and Fiddle/other characters/Levy does use the old
yet reliable polar opposite from two different worlds character developments
and consequently people/performances, but somehow they have to get through this
time period with this case with getting results and not being killed in the
process.
This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; I mean in one way or another I
have made it abundantly clear without Jackson and Levy this film would have
really struggled [and yes before someone looks this up I am very much aware
that back in the day of 2005, this film just recouped slightly over 50% of its
$20 million budget back.] But if you want a good film that doesn't require too
much thinking with your takeaway; this film will give you that. This film does
have some awards to its name, but unfortunately they are negative; 1 Winner The
Stinkers Bad Movie Awards 2005 Stinker Award Less Than Dynamic Duo Samuel L.
Jackson Eugene Levy [which this is extremely harsh: because on one hand as I
have shown they have fluent and likely chemistry, on the other hand; what did
these people want that gave this award? Because Jackson and Levy with a
character types that is their whole shtick of two characters/performers coming
from two different worlds and so on and so forth.] 1 Nominee Razzie Awards 2006
Razzie Award Worst Supporting Actor Eugene Levy Shared with: Cheaper by the
Dozen 2
