Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/drugs/bodily functions/impaling/animal cruelty/medical/reference to capital punishment

We have one left: briefly; after most of the MI7 are all killed, they only have one left Agent Johnny English/another character [Rowan Atkinson:] he takes his job professionally and seriously, but what comes second nature to him is to be clumsy. But when someone steals from the Royal Family; Pascal Sauvage [John Malkovich:] a French prison owner, Agent English with his companion/sidekick Angus Bough/another character [Ben Miller:] he is an okay individual that allows Agent English to have this chemistry of superiority over him and he does get Agent English or/and another out of trouble; this other character would be Lorna Campbell [Natalie Imbruglia:] she is an Agent for INTERPOL; Paris and is on a case.

Generally speaking: the frameworks and pacing of this 87 minutes film is good; you know it has a plan and it sticks to their plan.

Comedy, action and art; well there is lots to enjoy from this sort of car chase sequence [I have said sort of based on] the car that Agent is sometimes on this/these transport vehicles for cars; so the car isn't actually moving we now a speed camera and rockets being used in this sequence as well at one point or another. Agent English gatecrashing a funeral and with Bough assistant finding a peaceful way out of this situation, parachuting down which is also artistically pleasing smooth on the eyes by night. Then much later Agent English with Agent Campbell this time with him essentially without giving too much of the storyline a way; tries to gatecrash this location; that these individuals will not see or hear coming; well they would not see or hear coming if Agent English unknowingly/accidentally flipped on the loudspeaker from their location; consequently giving everything way.

Character developments and performances; on both counts they are all good, I know the character types are reliably good versions of what they are meant to be in their individuality. But it is down to the performers to make them at least positive which the succeed with flying colours, but the trio of Atkinson, Miller and Imbruglia really do make this film; Atkinson in particular, because without him there wouldn't be a Agent Johnny English; John English is Rowan Atkinson [yes as there wouldn't be a Edmund Blackadder or/and Mr Bean without Rowan Atkinson] and for Malkovich; I believe that there is nothing wrong with his performance [this will make better sense later on.]

This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; this film is most definitely worth at least a one-time viewing, I have decided to award this title another mark, there is one extra scene after the first lot of ending credits and it has some awards accredited to its name and no some of them are not positive ones. 6 Nominees would include British Comedy Awards 2003 British Comedy Award Best Comedy Film and European Film Awards  EFA People's Choice Award Best European Actor Rowan Atkinson, now on to the negative ones; The Stinkers Bad Movie Awards 2003 Stinker Awards Worst Supporting Actor John Malkovich and Worst Fake Accent: Male John Malkovich.
