The
filming of MetalStorm: briefly; the
Director Jody Moreno [Emily Blunt:] this would be her first-time in the
director's chair, she needs a stuntman, anyone but this one as they have a
history, this one she doesn't want, but has to work with him goes by the name
of Colt Seavers/Tom Rider [Ryan Gosling:] a well experienced stuntman, who had
a accident sometime ago and he handle on it in a very male way of thinking, he
is a stuntman for Tom Rider [Aaron Taylor-Johnson :] he is famous film star currently working on this project
and he and Seavers have worked on many projects together. But when Rider as in
Taylor-Johnson goes missing Seavers has to find him amongst other things.
Honourable mention we also have at some point Lee Majors as Colt Seavers/The
Fall Guy and Heather Thomas as Jody Bank; they worked on the original TV
program of The Fall Guy 1981-1986.
Generally
speaking: the framework and pacing of this
126 minutes film is what I can best describe as; something that needs to grow
into itself, I mean I get the time jump I really do, it makes sense in the
storyline. But still it needs time to grow into itself regardless, even with
Gosling on-screen.
Comedy, art and action; in a rough description; we have
Colt Seavers as Tom Rider heading into this club, to have this meeting with
somebody, because Seavers has partaken in some drugs in this scene; things from
his perspective gets trippy and when he discovers get rumbled, there is this
action sequence in which gets slowed down with these colourful effects being
used as well, then much later on we have the old yet reliably funny comedy
style of Seavers attempting to go back, but when these people are generally
trying to shoot at him, he decides to quickly change his mind and attempt this
option. So as you can probably tell there are consistent comedy or/and action
going on in this project; it is good-natured and good fun.
Character developments and performances; they are mostly
all good on both counts, but the partnership of are when this film gets going
properly individually or together the spearhead behind this film, they have
excellent chemistry working of one another.
This
film receives: 7/10, this film is good; after
everything is said and done, it deserves to be given this and as I have already
indicated; if you are a fan of either Gosling or/and Blunt, you may want to go
and see this film whilst as of the first creating this content it is at the
cinemas, it has not one but two ending sequences or/and credits, the first is
during the first and the second is right at the end and this film has 1
accredited award to its name; Nominee SXSW Film Festival 2024 Audience Award
