After this plane:
crash landing somewhere in the Philippines it captain; Captain Brodie Torrance [Gerard Butler:]
an ex-Royal Air Force pilot and Louis Gaspare [Mike Colter:] a prisoner
transfer an ex-GCP French Foreign Legion; do their best to get help and protect
everyone else, but as you will see everything does not go according to plan.
The framework and pacing of this
107 minutes film is like the rest of it slower and steady.
Art/Action: we
do get to see some nice scenery in the sky and some very small moments of this
landscape. Now moving on to when the art and action come together; can I just
say I know what they were trying to do with Captain Torrance dealing with this
henchman; from the perspective of they were trying to do a first person-shooter
perspective mobility thing. But it just looks and feels messy and disjointed,
but a little later we get much more of a standard first person-shooter; when
this Black Ops member relays these images back to Trailblazer Airlines. The
action; well what do you want me to say really there plenty of guns and that
kind of artillery used.
Character developments and performances: these on both counts follow their outlay, so they do
what they are designed to do. I mean if you want me to put that little bit more
meat in this content Butler and Colter; make a good partnership. I mean if or
when you come to watch this project, they are noticeably better than everyone
else, but these characters by their presentation even though individually they
have back stories which have some depth they still follow their stereotype
conclusion. To make this more crystal clear if these two were contracted to do
another project together that had more depth and license to explore it; this
partnership could really be something, like if my memory is correct I think
there were some very tiny, really tiny fragments of passing comments as comedy
and it worked for the moment, you will have still listen out for because they
are really quick or just to cover my back if I am wrong I think they were very
tiny fragments of attempted comedy.
This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; apologies for repeating
myself on both counts, but I can't do much more than work with what is in front
of me; so on one hand this film sets down what it is designed to do and follows
it whilst on the other hand if you were going to watch this film; I can
highlight this partnership as an asset, to the point where without them this
film would have absolutely no takeoff whatsoever.
