Well you may as well fast-forward roughly the first 50 minutes: basically; Jonas Taylor [Jason Statham:] a sea life activist/crime fighter, which will be very useful considering due to illegal activity of these criminals/terrorists  they open up this breach and unfortunately some things come through the breach, he also has a stepdaughter by the name of Meiying [Sophia Cai/Shuya Sophia Cai:] a 14-year-old girl, that is very intelligent and into sea life as well, but she doesn't take instructions that well.

The framework and pacing of this 116 minutes film is; well as I have already indicated a film of two halves, the first half is so slow as in comparison to the second half roughly things eventually find a get up and go nature.

Art/Action/Comedy: throughout this film as its predecessor the seemingly even in the slow section of this sequel is still there briefly, of what I remember of the first film it was a lot more there, here and everywhere. But in the first section it isn't so much there, I mean it is there but not as hit you in the face.

However the second there is section/half of this film is much more like its predecessor. Megs [Megalodons] and other creatures taking care of business as they destroy anyone or anything in their way such as for an example this nearby resort its name is Fun Island; including this small piece of comedy of this pair of people in pedalow just relaxing with drinks until they see this meg, which they are of course panicking as it is swiftly heading for them, but they are furiously pedalling this pedalow; it would have just been quicker if they had got out and swam for it, but as they didn't this meg quickly took care of business here.

Character developments and performances: their character types are the reliably solid versions of what they are meant to be and likewise their performances reflect this also.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; I mean it follows a safe and reliable outlay of what a sequel looks like from this genre of film. This sequel also has as of creating the content 1 accredited to its name; which would be Weibo Awards Ceremony 2023 Weibo Movie Award Recommended Movies of the Year
