Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/burning/biting/disintegrating/environment reference/medical.

This film just keeps going and going and going: these extra terrestrial aliens; this brother and sister Seth [Alexander Ludwig] which has the abilities his molecules to either go through things or conversely be incredibly hard or anything in between.  Sara [AnnaSophia Robb] which she has the abilities of telekinesis and telepathy. They have come to earth to find something that will prove that their home planet can be saved, but however they are being hunted by a Siphon/Siphon Warrior Deraniun 75 [Tom Woodruff Jr.] an alien assassin which has been given mission to eliminate them consequently they do not achieve their mission. This brother and sister are also being hunted by the USA Government; specifically Defence Department; Henry Burke [CiarĂ¡n Hinds] the leader of Project Moon Dust. Who is going to help this brother and sister? It is an Las Vegas cab-driver and ex-con Jack Bruno [Dwayne Johnson,] Dr. Alex Friedman [Carla Gugino] and Junkyard the Dog [Buck the Dog.]

The pacing of this 98 minutes film is like the rest of this film on every aspect pedestrian and a paint by numbers exercise. The action as I have already referenced this brother and sister have special abilities which obviously we get to see them being used which are okay, there are only a couple of moments I found comical for one example Sara communicating for  Junkyard and for the art we get to see Galaxy over where these two aliens come from; this was good. I don't know what else to say here, other than the character developments are safe and reliable versions of what they are meant to be, but the performances based on the lack of get up and go to this film really felt exposed, so the person on person was going to say trying. Because there are sometimes fleeting moments where you go; there you go it’s there or you can see/feel they're trying or it is something solid or it just isn't there [basically it is all over the place, but I was trying to be fair, I couldn't say there aren't miniscule positive moments.] But for anyone that worked with Junkyard [Buck the Dog;] he did a good job.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; this film is/was generic, I was consistently checking the time to see how much of this film I had left to watch I got bored, this is one of those occasions where based on my opinion even at the early stage of his film/TV career Johnson's name was used to sell this film, don't get me wrong if there were any fans of Johnson out there in Internet land, take a look at this film but I really would not go in expecting too much, in the closing credits there is this sequence and this film has an award credited to its name 1 Nominee ALMA Awards 2009 ALMA Award Actor in Film Cheech Marin [as Eddie Cortez.]
