Warning: there is flashing/colourful effects throughout
The
Brawling Brutes [Sheamus, Ridge Holland & Butch] vs. Imperium [the WWE
Intercontinental Champion Walter, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci;] Six-Man
Tag Team Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match: straight off the bat I may as well give you a nice
heads up this will not be the only time I will be discussing the match outlay.
The match outlay especially the beat down section of this match goes on for way
too long. I know why they do it; to make the dominating force look dominating
and to build up to the resurgence from the other team, which this match outlay
works and yes it does achieve what it sets out to do here, but they really do
delay pulling the trigger on this. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.
Ronda Rousey vs. Champ Liv Morgan;
Extreme Rules Match for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship: the stipulations for this match may as well have been
written/designed by Vince Russo instead of having this match stipulation, we
may as well had a Baseball Bat on a Pole Match for this Championship, for the first section of this match, we only have this back and forth thing going on for this baseball bat, yes it is
comical when Rousey hits Morgan with the baseball bat looking as if she is just
hit a home run. Michael Cole calls out the wrong move he says Code Red, when it
should have been Code Breaker with the use of a steel chair, Corey Graves comes
up with a name for it the Morgannator. But generally speaking more and more I
think of this premium live event the more I am doing a lot of reflecting on
these matches/match slot/premium live event which leads me to take marks off
some of these sections and in fairness and balance it just won't be this match
either. This match/match slot receives: 6/10.
Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross
[with Scarlett;] Strap Match:
match outlay; simply put no one wins here and no I'm not giving you the result,
I mean it in the context of everyone looks bad for having this match. What was
the point of having this stipulation? When Kross doesn't play by the rules?
Until McIntyre makes him. McIntyre doesn't move Scarlet out of the way at any
point, so McIntyre is doing the babyface limited intelligence thing and Kross
looks weak after on his first main roster premium live event match, yes I am
trying not to give too much away, when things go how they should go as the wrestling side of things with the strap on both participants, so this match can actually officially start then it shows glimpses of what it should have been like. This match/match slot receives: 4/10.
Damage Control's Bayley vs. the WWE
Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair; Ladder Match for the WWE Raw Women's
Championship: the only things I can say here are
the match outlay and Damage Control is already going to need some damage
control themselves. This match/match slot receives: 6/10.
Edge
vs. The Judgement Day's Finn Bálor; "I Quit" Match: Bálor’s new
walking to the ring attire needs to go, it reminds me of ShockMaster in its
presentation not colour system, yes Bálor’s is much more of a up-to-date modern
version so hopefully he won’t have the same issue as The Shock Master, but you
may be sure of it does get rid of it. This match/match slot pretty much like 97%
goes how I expected it to go. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.
Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins; Fight
Pit Match with Special Guest Referee Daniel Cormier: the match/match slot delivers more than what I was
expecting, you know I was expecting it to be good, but it flew past good, Riddle me want to get this coccyx checked out though and
taking everything else into consideration: this match/match slot receives:
10/10.
The
average mark for this pay-per-view is: 7/10, as you can clearly see on
average there is some positives things on this pay-per-view/premium live event,
but I have also indicated some of the issues and this pay-per-view/premium live
event narrative in these scenes did nothing for me, but in fairness and balance
they didn't irritate me, but they are clearly building up to something on
Monday's Raw [Monday 10/10/2022,] but to just finish off for here and now, I
know generally speaking the crowd in attendance will indicate if something is
going well or not and nowhere is that any truer here.
