Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/disfigurement/transformation/choking to death.

Storyline: and the pacing are on both counts something safe and reliable.

Action/Art/Comedy: in one way or another these three components go hand-in-hand. It could be in this chasing sequence as we have Jimmy Lee/Dacascos, Billy Lee/Wolf and Imada/Nickson in one post-apocalyptic vehicle whilst we have members of the Mohawks; Bo Abobo #1/Stewart and Smart Ass Mohawk/Asher in another post-apocalyptic vehicle in this chasing sequence where Billy Lee/Wolf comes up with this idea to deliberately let out this map out of his window; so it goes back with on to the Mohawk members vehicle consequently blocking their view or so you would think. They just get out this joystick and monitors from their departments built into this vehicle and continue the chase this way; yes the 2-D and 3-D [depending what monitor you are looking at;] these computer graphics are looking from today's standards very old but still very good.

Action/Comedy; in the Deville Theather Billy Lee/Wolf asked Husey/Imada” Who wants gum?” Before he throws ; Husey/Imada  piece as he is trying to get ready to continue the battle; then; Bill Lee/Wolf smashes this bubblegum and candy dispenser; specifically the bubblegum section with his skateboard to create this many bubblegum circular pieces under Lewis/Leong feet so he falls down again. Just a quick side note this is one of those machines where you put in something like 10 or 20 P. if my memory serves me correctly into a slot of what you want; you twist the mechanism round and you receive it and I can see jellybeans in one department as well.

Action individually; they take place on land and water

Art individually; there is a small amount of good scenery of this post-apocalyptic and this Channel 102 News intro it is done with again 3-D computer graphic.

Comedy individually; Husey/Imada and Lewis/Leong are holding these cardboard signs up saying "HENCH FOR FOOD" and "THUGS SEEK RUTHLESS BOSS" and Husey/Imada is blaming Lewis/Leong, talking about things as they turn and walk away as the ending credits eventually appear on the screen.

Characters/Performances: including the on-screen chemistry; they all fulfil what they are designed to be. I have worded it this way because they are not poor, but I also acknowledge; we are in a galaxy far, far away [so far away] from winning any Awards here, but they are not irritating they are just what they are which are safe and reliable clichés.

This film receives: 4/10, this film is mixed; this is one of those films that if you have a passion for old-school videogames which this film is based on of the same name Double Dragon [yes I am aware of the animated TV series likewise of the same name from 1993-1994; 2 Seasons; 26 Episodes, I had vaguely forgotten about it until I came across some information that reminded me of it, I didn’t know it went on for this long.] But I digress back to this film on a quick side note; if there are any fans of Robert Patrick he is in this film as Gaisman/Koga Shuko and/or Alyssa Milano as Marian Delario; but as you can see from this Review/Blog there is enough here to be entertained if at minimum a one-time viewing.
