Review Time:
5 things about this episode
Warning: there are flashing/colourful/other effects in
this episode.
Storyline: it is good; but it is a bit
of a slow burner.
Tommy/The White Power Ranger with Saba vs. Goldar: well there is a lot to discuss here; yes in one way or another these
three components go hand-in-hand [action, art and character developments, but I
will be discussing them singly. So let's begin from an action perspective we
have Tommy/The White Power Ranger performing a move of the variety of Mortal
Kombat Raiden's Torpedo [Tommy/The White Power Ranger's legs are both not
straight, punches Goldar and he is carrying Saba in his other hand.]
Then later
on we have Tommy/The White Power Ranger performing a variety of move like
Mortal Kombat Liu Kang's bicycle kick once again on Goldar, but Tommy/The White
Power Ranger's jumps up and his kicks are lower down. I should just give you a
heads up in both these cases you will have to use your imagination, but you can
see the very vague similarities.
The art; now
at some point the viewers get the perspective of first-person shooter
[basically this means from the perspective as if we were holding the weapon and
taking the action ourselves in this action sequence;] this is great art.
Now
introducing Saba; he is the new partner of Tommy/The White Power Ranger. He is
an enchanted Short Sword, which his head is the handle of this Sword, he can
talk and is softly spoken, he does have the ability to be in control of his own
actions [he doesn't need or if he doesn't like the person wielding him let's
just say he can quickly change that] and he does have the ability to have
energy blasts coming out of his eyes, so at this point you should be getting
the idea that it is of vital importance that Tommy/The White Power Ranger and
Saba have a strong bond; like Saba is not just a weapon or the missing piece to
this Zord [which I will discuss in a minute] he is very much a valued member of
this duo and not only that but to The Power Rangers on the whole [in short
treat him well and he will serve you well.]
Now on to
Tommy/The White Power Ranger without Saba; he couldn't operate The White
Tigerzord, because Tommy/The White Power Ranger and Saba do these simultaneous
voice commands for this Zord and on top of that Saba slots inside this gap
inside The White Tigerzord control area and from here they work together to
operate this Zord; Saba is a great character likewise there is great chemistry
between him and Tommy/The White Power Ranger.
This episode receives: 8/10, this episode
is excellent; as I have already said it is a slow burner but after everything
is said and done this episode finds itself at this mark.
