Review Time

Storyline: in theory this storyline should have been something safe and reliable, but however in reality it is like 88% like the rest of this film; in one way or another [to limit how many times I say this; "it is colossally insufferable."] Yes individually or together the pacing doesn't help things either.

Comedy/Action/Art: there is one moment where these two components naturally work hand-in-hand, it is where we have Buchannon/Johnson vs. Frankie/Joseph in this young child's bedroom, Frankie/Joseph picks up this framed picture of this child and goes to use it; Buchannon/Johnson stops and says "Whoa whoa, hey, hey no baby pictures; have some class" [with him putting out is arm/hand] Frankie/Joseph says Your right" [looking down at the picture] then Frankie/Joseph continues the action sequence.

But for the rest of the time the comedy is either very juvenile or "Why go down to this level?" I will just call this scene "You People" [these are the two words you're looking for when it comes to this scene,] basically there is no way in hell I would have put this comedy [it isn't comedy] in this film, because it quickly goes the wrong way from Lifeguards to Ethnicity.

There are a very small amount of times when the action and the art go hand-in-hand for one example; Buchannon/Johnson rescues Brody/Efron from this underwater situation and before this element the scenes look good in this location.

Individually the action; there is training/competition, weapons being used, combat, chasing and rescuing. The art individually there are some good looking scenes and fireworks these look good.

Characters/Performances: the character developments and the performances should have been likewise something safe and reliable, but because of the comedy component; these are affected as well, so the character developments and the performances are from an overview perspective solid to poor, yes there is on screen chemistry and this can be seen in the same light as well; I feel comfortable saying this because roughly around the closing section this film is sensible as in it stops with the comedy and focuses on the storyline; consequently the on-screen chemistry is better and it shows potential.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor as I have already made reference to it; it is colossally insufferable; I know it is never nice to see someone lose their job, but I hope someone lost their job over this film, that is how bad it is and before I receive any complaints [please keep in mind this film was released in 2017 and not 2020.]
