Review Time

Storyline: it is something safe and reliable, but also predictable I mean it covers everything it should cover like back stories and it has a solid ending. The movement of this film is generally speaking sturdy, I mean this project does have a certain consistent tempo to it, but there are some occasions where it feels like it has lost itself, but all I can say about this is; it will find itself again.

Action/Art: the action comes with everything that you come to expect from a film like this such as weapons being used, combat and so on and so forth. Now on to the art; there are some good looking scenes such as for one example; the ending scene where we have our lead character/performer [Davis/Boseman] in his vehicle [the camera spans out] he is driving across the Manhattan Bridge and this would be the scene I am making reference to here.

Characters/Performances: the character developments are likewise predictable to the point where if you were going to guess something you would be in the right ballpark at the very least, consequently the performances are a reflection of those character developments; yes there is a solid back and forth chemistry between these characters/performers, but having said that individually if I was going to make a sequel or a potential franchise out of this film, I would only consider it if I could have this character/performer back guarantee Davis/Boseman, yes without him I wouldn't be interested in undertaking this project, the best example I could give you; yes this is completely different as it relates to these two characters but on the same level as Wick/Reeves, they wouldn't [or just to cover my back in the future they shouldn't make a sequel without Reeves in this role, just on a quick side note they could make a prequel or prequels origin/younger years that kind of thing without him for 99% of it and have him coming towards the end of the prequel trilogy as Wick so it ties up everything,] but back to this film; this is precisely how I feel about this character/performer here as well.

This film receives: 5/10, for me this film is mixed; it does know what it is doing from beginning to end and it sticks to that, but maybe next time if there is a next time try not to make things so predictable.
