The Fast and the Furious 2001 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this film is good.
Background music/Cultural elements/Subtitles/
Fundamental core: the background
music in this title is dominating, yes I am aware that in the other projects in
this franchise, the background music does get used in one way or another but in
this case it just feels really heavy and slightly off-putting [in a nutshell let's
just say the audience is aware of its presence in the film.] The cultural
elements are quite clear to see and just to cover my back when I first began
back dictating reviews I wasn't going to bring up the cultural elements in my
reviews, because I did not want to deal with the backlash from some people, but
if it is in the film or project I am watching I should at the very least
mention it.
Moving on to
the subtitles, now I am aware that this film doesn't have them [but there is
one scene where one character speaks another language and there are no
subtitles.] The fundamental core is okay it isn't great but it does its job.
Storyline/Character developments: now it is very rare I do this; but I can talk about these two
elements in the same way, meaning the storyline and the character developments
are firstly okay, but secondly they are both designed to begin this franchise.
You see on one hand we have a reasonable well grounded storyline to build on
and on the other hand the character developments are reliably interesting, but
something they can build little elements of chemistry and character
developments as it relates to their personal growth as characters and ties to
other characters and other elements, into the later films [if the franchise
gets that far which we know now it has gotten far,] in fact the more you go
through this project, you can begin to see elements of chemistry between some
characters [I should just point out when I say chemistry I mean it on two
levels the first one would be characters and the second one would be on a
performers level, these performers all do a good job in this project.]
Racing sequences/Action sequences: these elements are good fun.
This film receives: 68% approval, this
film is good as I have already said.
