Saturday Night Live UK [Season 1,] Episode 4: Host: Jack Whitehall & Music Guests: Jorja Smith by AverageMansReviews
Warning:
there is mature to adult themes in this content such as though Epstein files,
flashing effects/colourful/rainbow community/references to neo-Nazism, Scott
Mills, Andrew formerly known as Prince Andrew, suicide, Peter Mandelson and
drugs
The Face of Comedy Award: Melania Trump; next door neighbour
[short description: she appears as her next door neighbour's are having a
barbecue, playing a drinking game; never ever have I, basically she denies
anything to do with Epstein;] excellent opening skit.
The football/soccer player escort
[short description: basically these children escort these players on to a
football/soccer pitch; but in this occasion, we have these players trying to
swap these escorts between themselves, for one example one may play badly,
because their escort I am paraphrasing here; doesn't look the best;] it is a
good-natured skit.
Mastermind [short description: this
is a take on the British Game Show institution Mastermind: Contestant: Ben
Michael: Occupation: Something in IT Specialists Subject: Things my mother has
told me about other people I've never met and have no connection to:] the skit
is authentically and by its execution of the highest standard possible.
Dad Swap [short description:
commercial for this is an app for people looking for a suitable dad, but things
get slightly twisted to the point where they have to point out it isn't
incest:] excellent variety with an undertone of dark comedy, even though I know
there is no incest is here.
Masters [short description: this is
golf player has just won the Masters and everything turns into a lot of
kissing; but don't worry we have the commentators keeping us on top of the
action:] this skit is excellent fun.
Weekend Update [short description:
a comical look back over recent news stories; featuring a story about a
hedgehog.]
Peter Pan returns to the Darling's
[short description: everyone in this skit is portraying his characters in their
40's and Pan is drunk:] this skit is brilliant fun.
Jorja Smith [second performance]
Cafe in the 1930s [short
description: this skit is set in this timeframe, it is also black-and-white
skit, we need this husband-and-wife that are discussing their situation and the
fact is they are both gay and his mother is coming to see them and it she
doesn't have a clue and I should point out for the younger generations back in
this timeframe this sexuality option was a legal:] we do also have comedy
moments from this time in history such as the slippery floor with sound effects
and references to incest which are not incest.
The Face of Tragedy Award: Jack Whitehall's opening monologue
[short description: he goes on about his wedding referencing Scott Mills and
hoping for another pandemic, amongst other things:] for me this is just a
complete miss, you know when the comedian gets on to that stage of life where
they just wanted to about their family in their material? Well that is where
Whitehall is and depending on the strength of that material, is depending how
well it is going to go down, which as you can probably tell I found it
incredibly flat.
This episode receives: 9/10, this episode is excellent;
they are seemingly found their groove and very much opened the net of their
comedy reach, so it doesn't feel so concentrated on a limited specific section
or sections, but now we have a two-week break and after that we are coming on
Saturday 25/04/2026 back with a bang Host: Nicola Coughlan & Music: Foo
Fighters
