Warning: there is a rainbow community
component/burning/medical
In Wales: briefly; we meet Henry, 5th Marquess of Anglesey [Callum Scott
Howells:] he is flamboyant and by today's standards a member of the rainbow
community, but heir apparent to his
father's titles businesses and fortune upon his death, but for now here's got
to learn the ropes on how to act the role he will be given in the future, but
he doesn't have a lot of time left was well; essentially he says hell to that,
I am going to get married to my best friend to assist us to get out of our
situations; her name is Lily [Ruby Stokes:] she looks to be getting married to
someone that she doesn't like, but as I have already referenced they come up
with a plan to change all that and they agree to a nonsexual relationship and
basically this is their story.
Generally speaking: the storyline/script only really covers this time in Wales and words
on screen later, the framework and pacing of this 108 minutes film is good
Art; the landscapes, set design, costumes, make-up and anything other
really including this fantastic and felt dance performance from our lead
character/performer Henry/Howells called; Butterfly Dance
Character developments, comedy and performances; these are all good;
the character developments are throughout are good versions of what they are
meant to be in their stations in life, the comedy comes from predominately our
lead, as from this time in history his flamboyant and/or eccentricities may
start off comical as showing up for tea late and after an incident leaving with
his dog, but much later taking a darker turn as he wants to buy everything from
this shelf from this jewellery store or store similar to this. So by in large
the performances from this cast are very good performances and chemistry
throughout the entire cast, this film has a three point spearhead to rely on
the first two I have already referenced; but we now have Rupert Everett as
Gelert; he is a long serving Butler type of character, but his roles include in
this case charge of Henry [which for the younger generations this basically means;
if Henry screws up not only is it Henry's fault, it is also the fault of his
charge; because it is his responsibility to ensure that he doesn't do anything
stupid or to bring his family name into disrepute or literally anything you can
think of:] This trio but in excellent performances.
This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; if you are into Biopic or history or costume
dramas this film will suit you down to the ground, there are some bits and
pieces in the closing credits section. This film also has some awards
accredited to its name such as 1 Winner FOCUS Wales Film Festival 2026 Best Director Feature Film Celyn Jones and 1
Nominee Frameline San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival 2026 Audience
Award Comcast Audience Award for Narrative Feature Celyn Jones (director)
