Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/terrorism/shooting/torture/racism/domestic violence/biting/stabbing/references to Russia

Bikers: briefly; they steal something which means they can make professionals looking real deal money [actually physically make money by in a nutshell manufacturing it:] Lukasz Slava [Tobin Bell:] is a Russian mobster; the brains behind this plan, sometime later/then it becomes simultaneously Detective Gresko [Ernie Hudson:] he is a grizzled veteran that is far from a nice person, but he is trying to hunt down this individual that shot and killed another detective.

Generally speaking: the storyline/script is incredibly generic, so consequently/or individually the framework and pacing of this 90 minute film actually this whole lot in this paragraph is very much a paint by numbers of outlay; things really only get going somewhere around the final section oh yes before I forget we also have the slow motion effects in some martial arts sequences.

Action and art; in one way or another we are some kind of vehicle action sequences; for an example we get to experience this high octane sequence of events from the driver's prospective or obviously there is martial arts sequences; where we have one vs. many with the inclusion of weapons at different stages: this entire sequence of events in this location: has been constructed with great detail, accuracy and fluency.

Character developments and performances; if this is what they were going for on both counts... good for them, as it relates to a character types they fulfil their character with stereotype versions of what they are meant to be with performances which echo those character versions; as it relates to Ernie Hudson as Detective Gresko, Tobin Bell as Lukasz Slava and Paul Gleason as Father Gil: he and his church become a safe haven for this little girl: all put in a somewhat positive performances broadly speaking; but you know they have the talents and skills to do more.

This film receives: 3/10, this film is poor; mostly everything about it is just really well and truly generic, as it put me to sleep multiple times, yes it really does have on reflection more than enough positive parts to be given an extra mark, but it has to be said that the names I have made reference to in this content; they could have been given more in-depth characters to tax their abilities a bit more as performers; this should be stated I am not criticising the performances; I am just stating they could have been given more of a challenge as it relates to bring these characters to life and without giving too much away and yes I am being very facetious/sarcastic; I like how this is another instalment from this franchise would was originally based around the sport of martial arts, to be reduced to by and large just another straight up action film.
