10 years later: briefly; Clyde Shelton [Gerard Butler:] this man is seeking justice not only for those that perpetrated this heinous act against his family and himself, but the system that also failed them. Prosecutor/another job role Nicholas "Nick" Rice [Jamie Foxx:] he is a Philadelphia prosecutor that at the time 10 years ago took on Clyde's case and without giving too much away; he is now dealing with the current one as well.

Generally speaking: the script, framework and pacing of this 109 minutes film is... Well everything really does get very much laid out in the opening section so you know; the pacing is slow-moving.

Action and art; there is consistently action going on such as this controlled automatic gun shooting the holy hell out of these vehicles and, I can't say too much about the next part: but what I can say is the scene constructions are excellently designed and this slow motion engulfing fire sequence likewise excellently drawn out.

Character developments and performances; as I have for you referenced because everything gets laid out instantaneously from the very beginning of this title, we are just here to follow their conclusions, this is just a long way of saying; on both counts likewise they are solidly good versions of what they were going for here and they should go without saying, but I'm going to say anyway; Butler and/or Foxx are very much the driving force behind this title and without them for most parts this film would have struggled without them; minus one other individual and that would be Viola Davis as the Mayor of Philadelphia: she puts in a strong performance to equal is partnership has she looks into ways around this problem as she just wanted resolved.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; I just found everything to be in one way or another the equivalent of being slow and consequently tiresome, don't get me wrong if you are a fan of James Foxx or/and Gerard Butler as these two are the lead partnership doing this back and forth thing; it will probably suit you down to the ground. This film also has some awards to its name and no they are not all positive ones either; 3 Winner that include but not limited to ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards 2011 ASCAP Award Top Box Office Films Brian Tyler and the negative winner is Yoga Awards 2011 Yoga Award Worst Foreign Actor Gerard Butler Shared with: The Bounty Hunter. 5 Nominees which also include but not limited to; Image Awards (NAACP) 2010 Image Award Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture Jamie Foxx and Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture (Theatrical or Television) F. Gary Gray
