Review Time

Warning: there is bodily functions and references to sexism

I will come and work for you if we can save the community centre: briefly; Attorney Lucy Kelson [the Producer of this film: Sandra Bullock:] she is a top-notch attorney and an activist as well currently trying to save her community centre from being bulldozed by this real estate company To renovate this location and its surroundings, which I have completely forgotten the name of it other than it has his last name in it: apologies for that, one of the brothers that run this self titled last name company is George Wade [Hugh Grant:] he is a very smooth and charismatic individual that this side of the business is well-known for one other thing and that is; is his long list of sleeping partners, but he offers a job opportunity to become his attorney where they can discuss this situation, but after almost or roundabout year she hands in her two-week notice and at some point we will have an appearance/cameo from President Donald Trump as Donald Trump.

Generally speaking: the script/storyline, the framework and pacing, character developments, performances and everything else that you can think of is affected in this film. I have to ask what the hell was the idea behind this script outlay? Because it just doesn't work, we have these chunks of time jumps by months or I am pretty sure there are some as well happen without something to the effect of months later such and such: words on screen, so it's like a skimming stone off water which makes it impossible to settle down and identify with these characters, so even relatively early on, you will get to the point where I just don't care anymore and even when there is some chemistry you will be like meh and as you will see throughout this content: this outlay does have a big impact on to this film: they should have done smaller time jumps to create some consistency consequently fluency which would have created on continuity which would have brought the other elements closer together to be built upon I mean if it was necessary to do this they could have added 25 minutes to this film in total if necessary.

Comedy, action and art; predominantly the comedy comes from the origin of the back and forth of our lead partnership, which I will discuss that it the next section of this content, but for me; the comedy runs dry very quickly or is very hit and miss based on what I have alluded to about the framework and pacing of this project; so  Attorney Kelson in this one sequence of events she is trying to get fired, so she turned up late for this meeting, including not limited to using the chewing gum from her mouth and later on Pokémon get a mention: this is good and then we have George Wade walking which turns into carrying Attorney Kelson to this motor vehicle in the queue and asking if they can borrow their facilities for $100, which they agreed to, so George has to try and make engaging conversation while she takes care of business which isn't quite: this is also good, the person I watch some of this content with did point out the green-screen effects, where I know this film is old but this is one of those situations where if they were put in to this title on the relatively cheap, the passage of time has done it no favours and they stick out like a sore thumb.

Character developments and performances; well because of the skimming stone effect to this project, the character developments are lacklustre and tedious; because there isn't any exposition, we are very much here and now and having to do with the present and having to just go with it: which as you can imagine has an effect on the performances; predominantly the cast are generic everyday characters/performances, so to a certain extent you can overlook them as they are what they are meant to be on both counts, but obviously you cannot give the same luxury to our two lead roles/lead partnership of Hugh Grant as George Wade or/and Sandra Bullock as Attorney Lucy Kelson: I mean we have to wait for ages until roughly around the final quarter to get any inclination of some romantic intent, even when it is announced then the dialogue exchanges: it still feels like they are really having to push and make their chemistry finally feel and look natural.

This film receives: 2/10, this film is poor; as I have already alluded to in some way or another, because of the skimming stone effect approach used in this film, this film comes off as incredibly boring and to be brutally honest garbage on all counts. But then again it does have some awards accredited to its name; 2 Winners: Positive:  ASCAP Award Most Performed Song from a Motion Picture Joni Mitchell For the song "Big Yellow Taxi" and Negative:  Yoga Awards 2004 Yoga Award Worst Foreign Actress Sandra Bullock. 3 Positive Nominees which include but not limited to Teen Choice Awards 2003 Teen Choice Award Choice Movie Actress - Comedy Sandra Bullock and Choice Movie Hissy Fit Sandra Bullock
