Reactionary To The Wrestling News of: Adam Cole Relinquishing the AEW TNT Championship at AEW All In: Texas due to injury 2025 by AverageMansReviews
Warning: at one point or another I will be using censored adult
language references and I will be speculating/putting my opinion across,
because of the sensitive nature of this: I would like to state that I am not a
medical professional or actually in this situation and I know in this day and
age that speculation is not helpful so I will be speaking broadly at best.
So it was meant to be: The Don Callis Family's: Kyle Fletcher [with Don
Callis] vs. Champ The Paragon's: Adam Cole; Singles Match for the AEW TNT
Championship at this event, but only a little while ago now things were
beginning to come through on social media that Cole was not medically cleared
to wrestle tonight, so he came out to I am paraphrasing here to indicate: that
firstly he apologises that he is not medically cleared to wrestle tonight, he
goes on to indicate that you won't be able to wrestle for some time, he doesn't
want to talk about the R word: that being Retiring, because he isn't in the
right headspace and he just wanted to come out here and talk to the audience;
because if this is indeed goodbye, because you are best damn wrestling fans in
the world. [Cole is visibly struggling at this point with the fans appreciate
him: with Thank You Adam!] Cole reciprocates with Thank You, he continues with
since I was 9 years old, I have always dream of being a professional wrestler,
it is the only thing I have ever; ever wanted to do, you guys and all of you
have made that come true for me, you have supported me through multiple
promotions, all over the world, you have no idea how much that means to me.
With my highest moments and more recently lowest moments, all of you have been
so, so supportive every step of the way and damn it I will love you forever,
thank you so much [Cole visibly finding this very difficult at this point:] he
continues: I don't want to take up any more of your time and does the old
school wrestling tradition of putting over the event and the promotion before
he leaves. For those old school wrestling fans I know it is usually a veteran
wrestler looking over the younger talent before leaving, but I think we can let
Cole have this moment... If you think we can't then to shut the hell up. He
finished it off by saying thank you for changing my life I will love you
always. Cole spends a few more minutes in the ring with the crowd saying thanks
again, with his stable mates Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong being there for
a group hug and one final Adam Cole Bay Bay.
Now
as it relates to speculation/my opinion which could mean precisely all of two
dumplings of manure: look as of this content Cole is only 36 years old and yes
I don't know the medical situation, but bad news first: we have had many
wrestlers and long-term absences away from the ring such as Adam Copeland,
Christian Cage, Bryan Danielson, Sting and Saraya, but here is the good news
they have all returned at some point, so I am hopeful to see Cole again
sometime down the line, so to Cole here is to a speedy recovery and see you
down the road and I think everyone within the wrestling community can
appreciate how I am going to leave this content: for those that continuously
believe that this simulated sport is fake, we have real athletes putting their
lives on the line every time they compete so as this situation reminds us these
athletes do break down, but as I have no doubt Cole will show us again when we
get knocked down; we just get the fudge up again and move forward.
