A lot
can happen on one day: briefly; John
Cale [Channing Tatum:] he has a daughter, he is going in for a job with the
President's Secret Service he is already working on Capitol Hill in security detail, but he really
wants this opportunity, he has already served his country, but in summary he is
declined this opportunity because he has discipline issues. But when the White
House is under attack, he has to step up to protect the current President of
the United States of America; President
of the United States James Sawyer [Jamie Foxx:] he is so close to bringing
peace in the Middle East and Martin
Walker [James Woods:] a retiring Secret Service Presidential Detail Special
Agent-in-Charge.
Generally
speaking: the framework and pacing of this
out 131 minutes film is good, but it does like infinitely I would say for the
first hour; there are occasions where it seems to lose itself as it goes off
the boil; they could have really taken off 15 minutes just to give it hopefully
it assistant get up and go to proceedings.
Action and art; the action sequences are noisy chaos,
I'm not criticising this; it is just that is what it is; we have landed to land
or land to air or land to water sequences with stealthily moving around without
trying to be caught with rocket launchers being used to take down armed
choppers or/and this vehicle ending upside down in water; from a vehicle
perspective they are still holding out to a hard-hitting standard, but when the
green-screen effects are being used such as when the old classic moving car,
but I would guess and speculate the car isn't moving, but instead they are
moving the scenery or the most obvious is sometimes I think is the explosions;
I mean they look right, but they don't look right out in the performers are in
this scene, but the explosion they aren't in this scene; if you look out for as
the older filmgoers out there would know you are looking for the black outlines
when the green-scream is in effect and not forgetting the flybys look good as well.
Character developments, performances and comedy; they are
good versions of what they are meant to be and for the vast majority of this
cast; their performances reflect that. It really does need the trio of names I
have already mentioned in the storyline section of this content; to be very
much the spear head to this title; even though likewise they themselves as it
relates to the character developments are good versions of what they are meant
to be; their chemistry is priceless as Tatum/Cale, Foxx/President Sawyer have this comical back and forth now
and again and Woods/Walker is just being Woods at his very best.
This
film receives: 7/10, this film is good; as I have
already indicated this film really could have done with roughly 15 minutes
knocked off to really give it some get up and go, but if you haven't seen this
film either yet or for some time it is a good watch. This film does have some
awards accredited to its name such as 3 Winners includes Teen Choice Awards
2013 Teen Choice Award Choice Summer Movie Star: Male Channing Tatum. 9
Nominees that includes from the same awards ceremony/event Choice Movie:
Chemistry Jamie Foxx Channing Tatum
