Who did what?: Briefly; Captain Julia Osborne [Connie Nielsen:] she is
the closest individual that they have a to investigater this incident, but DEA
Agent Tom Hardy [John Travolta:] he is a former Ranger turned DEA, but he also
has a colourful background, essentially he has been brought in to assist with
the investigation, which needless to say doesn't exactly sit too well with
Captain Osborne, but they are here to investigate what happened in this
incident involving Master Sergeant Nathan West [Samuel L. Jackson:] a
hard-nosed individual that trained these soldiers and this incident took place
on his watch.
Generally speaking: the framework; now and again we do have is back and
forth between different times thing being used, but on the whole the pacing is
good.
Action;
what we have of it; it is solidly good, to cover my back a little; yes this is
one of those occasions where, I should just say I can only work with what is
there, so if it is something of a functional level for an example I can't
really dress it up more than that, so in this case as I have already indicated;
what we have is solidly good.
Character
developments, performances and voice performance; and I have to continue that
sentiment from my previous section that all of the character types,
performances and voice performance; follow their character types fluently with
performances or/and voice performance to match; basically they followed the
script to its word, minus one exception Jackson is clearly a glowing positive
to this film as the performance as this hard-nosed individual; Jackson fluently
and naturally is this Master Sergeant West as someone that will mould these
individuals to serve their country and if he is unable to do this; you will
bring you and send you packing, but hopefully you will tap out/walk out before
this happens, to be honest Jackson should have been given at minimum a positive
award nomination for this performance.
This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; I mean I am a just having a
quick think, I think I have seen this film less than 5 times in my life [as of
this content being created,] if you haven't seen it; it is well worth a watch
if you like case crimes or/and any other performers I have mentioned, but it
doesn't have much of a repeating viewing that go about it. This film also has a
small number of awards accredited to its name and the majority of them are not
positive ones; 3 Nominations Golden Trailer Awards 2003 Golden Trailer Best
Voice Over, now onto the negative Awards The Stinkers Bad Movie Awards 2003
Stinker Award Worst Fake Accent: Male John Travolta and from the same award
ceremony/event Worst Fake Accent: Female Connie Nielsen.
