Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/drugs/shooting/cutting/stabbing/disfigurement/medical/references to the rainbow community, immigration, disabled and suicide.

You have 6 weeks to change things around: briefly; Jack Jones [Younger: Unknown name/Order: Danny Dyer:] he has been arrested yet again, he ends up with the choice of cleanup your behaviour or you can have a prison stretch. Meanwhile Dani Jones [Stephanie Leonidas:] Jack's long suffering wife goes and does something that she has always wanted to do as he tries to get himself sorted out; they have a son called JJ Jones [Arty Dyer:] a young boy which is bright and yes you the real life son of Danny Dyer.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 96 minute film is good as we have Jack [Danny Dyer:] with us narrating or breaking the fourth-wall, to give its audiences a sense of involvement and inclusion. Look I am going to have to be really honest with you; when I say I can acknowledge that this film is extremely comical, but however I cannot be too descriptive about it because of its adult nature, so obviously when Jack breaks the fourth-wall uses this gateway to be comical

Art; the viewers get from the very beginning of the movie a lot of exposition/character development via this opening sequence of events with narrator with this very eye-catching art which encapsulates how we got here, including these style of game cards introducing other characters as well and much later there is this portrait of Jack: this is excellent or so.

Action and comedy; these action sequences are usually based around football [UK]/soccer [US] fans brawling including one sequence where we get a blow by blow account in the style of a sports commentary team and likewise much later we witness Jack without a top on; do something we have all done at some point in our lives and that is eat the last basically crisp [UK]/chip [USA] even though it has probably landed somewhere it should in this case it is on Jack's hairy stomach.

Character developments, performances and voice performance; on all counts they are of an excellent standard has they are meant to represent a sense/representation of reality as we have Jack that way deep down is a good guy, but having said that he is a complete screw up [and that is me being nice,] but he is now in his 40's and anyone that is either coming up this milestone or going for it or slightly past it; deep down you know you can't do these types of things anymore without some major risk being in the wrong, meanwhile we have Stephanie Leonidas as Dani Jones: a strong woman that doesn't overly tolerate Jack's garbage, but they love one another and then we have Arty Dyer as JJ Jones; you can see/hear that he is very much their son as he has some of his mother in him and a lot of his father: the other characters/cast also bring really defined characters and performances of who they are to the table. But I have to give Danny Dyer: special praise for without him, this film wouldn't have been the same, as he puts in a masterful performance that only he can bring to the table, which can be very easily illustrated by in the closing stages to this film; he gives this closing monologue down the camera as he has one last thing to do before moving on with his life; this was and is a passionate monologue.

This film receives: 9/10, this film is excellent; after everything is said and done it really does deserve this mark. If by any chance you are wondering why have I been a bit vague on my references in this content/review, it is because this film has an 18 certificate and let's just say I have/had to be selective on what I put here, just in case of the age ranges viewing my content. But I digress; this film is excellent viewing so you should go and see it on the big screen especially if you are a fan of Danny Dyer.
