Don't
waste the rubber of your tires to purchase this film: briefly; Matt Turner [Liam Neeson:] he works for Nanite
Capital has a financier in Germany, with his family. But he is very wrapped up
in his own world. On this day he takes his children to school Zach Turner [Jack
Champion:] he is the eldest son, who wanted to bunk off school to see his
girlfriend. Emily Turner [Lilly Aspell:] she is the youngest daughter. Mat
receives a mysterious phone call that informs him; if he doesn't do everything
he is told, there is a bomb underneath his seat.
Generally
speaking: the script is essentially
something straightforward, but it's execution is goddam horrible, from the
framework and pacing which this film is just 90 minutes long, which I find to
be surprising. Based on it feels so much longer like if somebody told me it was
comfortably over 120 minutes long I would have no problem believing that. On top
of that we have these slanted camera shots now and again, which is meant to
generate drama as they are close-up. Off the top of my head how this camera
shot was perfectly used was in Mission Impossible 1996; you see here they were
designed to be used as espionage as if the camera shots represented us
carefully being observers. But back to this film it is a half posterior attempt
as I have already referenced to generate some form of emotions and drama, which
as you can probably guess by now it epically failed.
Action; I know it has its limitations based on we are in
vehicles [that is putting the Fast & Furious franchise to one side,] but at
least make them consistently solidly good. I mean the only sequence which I can
say it stood out was the final action sequence; but I can't tell you much about
that, because that would be giving too much of the film away.
Character developments and performances; as I have
previously stated in this content that camera shots did nothing positive to the
characters, in fact it had the opposite effect whenever it was used. But even
when it wasn't being used, these characters where and are very generic
character types. Yet again the only one that really tried and succeed to make
their character more rounded and likeable was Lilly Aspell as Emily Turner.
This
film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; yes there
may be some positives, but there just isn't enough to tip the scales, don't get
me wrong if there are any Liam Neeson fans out there? Take a look at this film,
but I would really scaled-back your expectations, we have one extra sound
effect over the ending credits such as news reports of what actually happened
to conclude the film. This film also has 1 award accredited to its name; 1
Nominee Golden Trailer Awards 2024 Golden Fleece Golden Fleece.
