Kingston, Jamaica in 1976: Bob Marley/other names used throughout his life [Young: Nolan Collignon/Teenage: Quan-Dajai Henrique/Adult: Kingsley Ben-Adir:] this film roughly covers from 1976 to 1981 of his life.

Generally speaking: to be honest; the more I spend reflecting on this film, the more I don't like it, the script as you can see basically covers such a small piece of his life with the words and numbers on-screen, memory recall of different times of his life thrown in from time to time. Which no surprise here greatly affects the framework and pacing of this 104 minutes film; will it go backward and present-day thing; you will be thinking where are we? Or something to that effect, when it settles down long enough, it can be solidly good framework and pacing of film.

Art, character developments and performances: the music aspects, wardrobe and anything other are positives to this film. The character developments and performances are good as the cast do a excellent job of bringing the script to live.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; full disclosure I had to take off the mark, because let me put it this way unless you know the history of Bob Marley through and through as I don't for an example, you aren't going to know what is going on I mean, you're going to get what is going on in the present times, but being dropped off in 1976 and the mental recall of things, you aren't going to have a clue. I think there are lessons to be learnt here if you are going to do a biography film starred at the beginning and work from there or at minimum cut the project in question into three sections basically speaking beginning, middle and if the individual is no longer here or you could do in present times or something that makes coherent rotating sense, I would be very happy never to see this outlay of filmmaking again [because I know there are many sensitive people out there] I'm going to make this crystal clear I am criticising heavily the filmmaking of this film and nothing to do with Bob Marley and the first section of closing credits we get some real-life footage of Bob Marley.
