Full disclosure I watched a English dubbed version: basically; Rama [Iko Uwais:] here is a member of S.W.A.T. Special Forces unit which will perform this raid on this building owned and also being a resident is their target Tama Riyadi [Ray Sahetapy:] a slightly crazy and ruthless drug lord that runs his empire from this location.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 101 minutes film is good, but let's be honest this entire film runs off consistent framework, pacing and more importantly cinematography of the high incidence action sequences be it from guns or/and near combat or/and anything in the middle. Once we get inside this building this is when the fun begins and I should just point out that these action sequences are graphic. We could have the following for some examples; a one-on-one action sequence, a hiding in a wall sequence [ yes we get one scene of a bird's eye prospective of these two characters hiding wall hiding place as their henchmen comes over to investigate; imaginative yet simple yet effective art was used here alongside the cinematography;] yes get this henchmen making holes in this wall with his machete, very similar to when a magician does this trick where he is putting swords in cubicle whilst his assistant is apparently inside. But I digress and finally we get this two-on-one action sequence, but all the action sequences have been given a higher level of detail and a natural fluency to them.

Character developments, performances and the dubbed over voice performances: are altogether good and at least the dubbed over voices was are in sync with the mouse movements and if you are of a certain age you know what I am making reference to, when in many years gone past and I am talking about many years gone past foreign films that used to dubbing over where being really polite, so far from being synced [for those younger generations; saying or thinking and being racist; the older generation would agree with me that he isn't saying anything wrong here, he is just telling you how it was back then, so there is no racism here. At minimum he is just basically pointing out a fact consequently he/I cannot do anything about that.]

This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; if you like wall-to-wall action in the backdrop of one location, this film will suit you down to the ground and yes this film has some awards accredited to its name; 9 Winners that includes Dublin International Film Festival 2012 Audience Award Best Film Gareth Evans and from the same award ceremony/event Dublin Film Critics Award Best Film Gareth Evans. 22 Nominees that includes Golden Trailer Awards 2012 Best Foreign Action Trailer, 2013 same award ceremony/event Best Foreign TV Spot and 2016 from the same award ceremony/event Best Foreign Horror Trailer.
