Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/stabbing/man on women violence/drugs/torture/breaking/medical

95% miserable: in a nutshell Ava Faulkner/Ava [Jessica Chastain:] is an ex-soldier turned assassin which in one way or another is a loose cannon that has ex-substance abuse issues and goes to group therapy. But she works for this top secret organisation being sent on assignments to kill targets. Her handler/superior is Duke [John Malkovich:] has also served his country high-ranking member of this organisation that trained her and stood by her when things got out of control. We also have Simon [Colin Farrell:] he was brought into the agency and trained by Duke and rose through the ranks to become Duke's superior

The framework and pacing of this 93 minutes film is; well to being totally honest this film is boring as hell on like I have already indicated 95% of it. Basically as it relates to the storyline it is based around the Faulkner family toxic drama or the agency and frankly I have no time for this family toxic garbage.

Action: all you need to know about the action is; Duke vs. Simon with Camille [Diana Silvers:] Simon's eldest daughter that is involved in this way of life and Simon vs. Ava; these are the only action sequences that stand out for me.

Character developments and performances: in the opening sequence to this film we get the background storyline/character developments of Ava. But moving on well if this was what they were going for with all the drama with this family they hit it on the nail. As I have already indicated this did absolutely nothing for me. The chemistry between Ava and Duke has on some level deep, deep down inside them to being like a father and daughter and the chemistry between Duke and Simon is a mixture between the old guard and the new guard and everything that comes with that; so as you can clearly see/read there is some really positive things to be had with this trio. But even though Malkovich has a supporting role in this film you can still see he is class and on reflection I will award another mark onto this project because of him.

This film receives: 2/10, this film is poor; and like the person I watch some of these films with said "If there was to be a sequel I won't be watching it."There is nothing that overly makes this film stand out from these kind of action films, so if you are a fan of any of these performers I have mentioned; take a look at this film, but keep your expectations really low.
