On average these guys are too old
to take on this park of this criminal empire: in short after the murder of Green Beret Major Carver
[Lee Majors: yes the original The Six Million Dollar Man, Col Steve Austin, the
original spin-off The Bionic Woman and the TV movies 1974 -1994 in total] likewise
these ex-servers soldiers; a member of this unit goes by the name of Harris
[Paul Barber: yes a member of the legendary and classic TV program Only Fools
And Horses as Denzil 1983-2003] decide to take down the UK operations of this
syndicate ran by Goram [Louis Mandylor:] him and his group are better known as
"The Four Horsemen." But our old veterans will have some assistance
with Intel on the streets by Sanchez [Danny
Trejo: associated with his lead role in as/ the Machete franchise; Machete 2010, MacheteKills 2013 and in post-production Machete in Space unknown date as of this content being created, But I should just point out this performer has many titles/projects under his name, I was thinking I would mention that just in case I have any of his fan base saying " You didn't mention this or that project."] and not forgetting this syndicate have somebody keeping an eye on
their UK business in the form of Apollo [Tommy 'Tiny' Lister/Tom Lister Jr. yes
this film star is/was better known as Zeus within the wrestling industry.]
The
pacing of this 91 minutes film is terrible, just terrible it takes ages to get
going and going to speculate may be 45 minutes or somewhere around here, I
wasn't paying attention, all I know is if I say this; I can't go wrong and even
when it does get going it moves solidly with progression.
Art/Action:
now and again we have these scenes of throughout the day and night; these are
good and I will bring up another element of art momentarily, I'm going to guess
that this film was done on a budget, would give them away is the special
effects of the action sequences; without being lazy but making one point and
putting this very nicely, you can tell or you should be able to tell that they
were done on a budget, speaking of the action sequences themselves I am going
to be nice again and say they do their job they are generally speaking of a
solid level, here is something for you to look out for; Woody [Bill Murray:
this Bill Murray is best associated with the UK TV programs The Bill as DI
Jackson for 2 episodes between 1989-1990, but consistent role as DS Don Beech
1995-2004 and EastEnders as Mr X for 2 episodes in 1991, then as Johnny Allen
2005-2006, but for 142 episodes] as he uses a crossbow; one of the modern ones.
Character
developments, Comedy and Performances: the character developments are broadly
reliably good versions of what they are meant to be, the best character
developments belong to Burton [Nick Moran: he is best associated/associated
with these film title Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels 1998 and these
titles, full disclosure I didn't know this, but then again I should also point
out I haven't seen these films for years Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows –
Part 1 2010 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 2011 as Scabior.]
But back to this film for doing his bit for his country he now sees himself
looking back at him, as to illustrate by taking this action he carries the
burden with him and it can also be interpreted as by taking this action he has
also killed a part of himself.
Comedy;
it is in the dialogue exchanges within his ageing unit and onto the
performances on the whole I would have to say they are solidly good taking into
consideration the pacing issue which I have already discussed and not
forgetting there are some performances in this film that are poor.
This film receives: 4/10: this film is mixed; this is one of those
occasions where after taking everything into consideration this mark is a fair
outcome and before the ending credits roll properly there is some ending
credits which gives this unit they are name and it leaves everything open for a
sequel. So if you want to see a roughly older group of characters than The
Expendables franchise, take a look at this film, but I just wouldn't expect too
much.
