Comments: as the attribute marks would suggest this match/match
slot is solidly good, but generally speaking it had a lot of assistance in one
way or another, if you have been around wrestling long enough you have seen
this match outlay used where it needs everything to sink into place for it to
work at minimum properly; so here is a quick checklist of what I mean; willing
and vocal crowd participation; check, commentary team providing a golden
standard of commentary with passion; check and Hogan providing pantomime Heel
tactics about pulling hair and general Heelness; check in fact to somewhat
speed this up it takes everyone involved in this match/match slot/ending of
this pay-per-view to pull this off; check. Because if or when you come to watch
the pay-per-view or specifically this match/match slot; you will get to see and
experience where generally speaking this Match Total is right. But for an
example if the crowd were not so willing to participate this match/match slot
could have really fallen on its face. I mean even as this match is it does feel
a bit slow in places, it's almost like they were trying to hide up the fact
that Hogan at this point was 43 years old and The Giant was 24 and as he is in
name would suggest a giant of a man, so they went with a match outlay which is
solid.
On a
quick side note; the subtitles are wrong again in short when Heenan makes
reference to this attendance figure of 93,000 the subtitles to say 90,000 and just to cover my back I didn't take for any of discrepancies, it is just this one stuck out like a sore thumb for me, because of the figures/numbers. Now
just to finish up we have two Ring-announcers David Penzer and only for this
main event match Michael Buffer.
Basic Result: your New WCW Heavyweight Champion New World Order's
["Mr. Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, The Outsiders Kevin Nash & Scott
Hall.]
This pay-per-view receives: 9/10, this pay-per-view is excellent; I mean all of these
matches on this pay-per-view are positive, so I had to give a bonus mark for
that. But this pay-per-view is in its entirety is enjoyable, There is one massive blooper which will not affect your viewing pleasure, but it is still a massive blooper nonetheless. Now briefly on the poster for this pay-per-view we have Hulk Hogan yellow-and-red Babyface and not the N.W.O. "Mr. Hollywood" Hulk Hogan black-and-white Heel.
