In-depth Predictions/Other elements for AEW Double or Nothing 2021 by AverageMansReviews

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for AEW Double or Nothing 2021 by AverageMansReviews

Just a heads up: these matches are probably mostly in the wrong order and to save me repeating myself, if AEW are not careful with this Pay-Per-View they will have all their Championships in Heel character's hands which I wouldn't recommend, because they will run the risk of having similar feuds dynamics, so when it becomes appropriate I will pick an outcome which is the nearest one which if it was to happen it would be the only one I could see happening and it wouldn't harm anyone involved.

Riho vs. the NWA World Women's Champion Serena Deeb; Singles Match for the NWA World Women's Championship: my pick Serena Deeb; this is just speculation on my part here, but I can see Thunder Rosa making an appearance after this match, because she wants this particular Championship back or/and the AEW version as well and they cannot leave her off this pay-per-view yes I am aware that this match is taken place on the buy-in or pre-show or whatever one of these two technologies you would like to use, but still I should imagine we will see her in some capacity on this night.

"Hangman" Adam Page vs. Team Taz's Brian Cage [with Taz;] Singles Match:  my pick is "Hangman" Adam Page; in short it has been long enough now he needs to return to the Main Event picture and Team Taz can continue doing this internal squabbling thing.

Casino Battle Royale for a future AEW World Championship Match: my pick is Christian Cage; he has to be either the favourite or one of the favourites, because Cage vs. The AEW World Champion Omega is just one of those matches but AEW wants to do at some point and everyone wants to see it.

"The MurderHawk" Lance Archer [with Jake "The Snake" Roberts] vs. the AEW TNT Champion "The Best Man" Miro; Singles Match for the AEW TNT Championship: my pick is "The Best Man" Miro; because he has very recently won this Championship and more importantly I don't see AEW giving him this Championship just then to take it off him in a short time. So with this all being said hopefully we have a case here where everyone involved gets a long match slot to put everyone over regardless of the result.

Sting & Darby Allin vs. "The Face of The Revolution" Scorpio Sky & "All Ego" Ethan Page: my pick is "The Face of The Revolution" Scorpio Sky & "All Ego" Ethan Page; I mean if I was booking this match slot, this is how I would book it. Because I have the opportunity to cement and give this younger pairing some credibility with a win on a Pay-Per-View and because they are Heels they will more than likely use underhanded tactics to achieve this which in turn protects Sting and Allin with the loss here.

The Pinnacle [MJF, Wardlow, Shawn Spears and FTR Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood [with Tully Blanchard] vs. The Inner Circle [Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Pride & Powerful Santana & Ortiz:] my pick is The Inner Circle [Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Pride & Powerful Santana & Ortiz.] I am sticking with my pick, but I am saying on top of that it could be 51% to 49% either outcome in fact they are building it up as it could be the final ride for The Inner Circle which as we are here right now I am not a fan of unnecessary 50-50 booking, but 90% of the time everything on wrestling has its place and time to be used so have them win here to have a third and final match and they lost last year's stipulation of this match to The Elite ["Hangman" Adam Page, The Young Bucks Matt & Nick Jackson] and "Broken" Matt Hardy.

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. [with Rebel] vs. the AEW Women's Champion Hikaru Shida; Singles Match for the AEW Women's World Championship: my pick is Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.; I am just hoping with this match they come up with something like this; Shida gets her foot on the bottom rope and Rebel quickly comes round and knocks it off or Baker could see it and takes it off the bottom rope herself consequently The Referee counts the three count, consequently there is a new AEW Women's Champion and Shida is protected by the loss, just please don't do the usual Heel kind of things to make a new Champion here; it just feels like my suggestions would be better suited here because Shida when this pay-per-view comes around will be 371 days as the AEW Women's Champion which will be currently the longest reign with this Championship starting at AEW Double or Nothing Saturday 23/05/2020 when she defeated  then current AEW Women's Champion Nyla Rose in a No Disqualification, No Countout Match with this Championship on the line, since then this Championship and Division have come such a long way in very little time.

So if it is the end of this reign, Shida deserves something a little bit different if she loses, I know all the women in this division have been working their butts off to push their division forward, but Shida has really given this Championship credibility, prestige and let's not forget she has carried this Championship through globally these dark days so as I have already said she deserves something a little bit different in her loss/protection from the loss.

Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston vs. the AEW World Tag Team Champions The Elite's The Young Bucks [Matt & Nick Jackson with Don Callis:] Tag Team Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships: my pick is Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston; yes this is the match where if this outcome was to happen it doesn't harm anyone involved and it puts these Championships in Babyface hands.

The Nightmare Family's "The American Dream" Cody Rhodes [with Arn Anderson] vs. The Factory's Anthony Ogogo [with QT Marshall, Nick Comoroto and Aaron Solow;] Singles Match: my pick is Anthony Ogogo; because it is this wrestling promotion's ethos to put over younger talent and Rhodes in particular has been doing this. They have been building up Ogogo as this Captain Ivan Drago [character from the 1985 film Rocky IV] where he took no prisoners where at minimum he floored them with ease so expect lots of blood at some point in this match and for someone to throw the towel in for Cody [I know they have done this kind of thing once already AEW Full Gear 2019; Cody vs. the AEW World Champion Jericho; Singles Match for the AEW World Championship; where if Cody loses he will never challenge for the AEW World Championship again. MJF through in towel consequently turning Heel and ensuring that Cody Rhodes at this point will never again challenge for the AEW World Championship; I have just said at this point, because in the world of professional wrestling things can change and if things go down this way at least they have given it a few years between using this format like the WWE which seemingly likes to run the same match ups week after week after week on Monday Night RAW.

The Death Triangle's "The Fatherless" PAC vs. "Freshly Squeezed" Orange Cassidy vs. the AEW World, the AAA Mega and the Impact World Champion The Elite's Kenny Omega [with Don Callis;] Three-way Match for the AEW World Championship: my pick is The Elite's Kenny Omega; absolutely none of these Championships are going anywhere for a while, so at the very least this match should be highly entertaining and everyone will come out of this match looks better for having it and just before I receive feedback; I allow no adult language so I had to censor PAC's name, I just put the meaning instead.

So I have no doubt this pay-per-view should be great fun, but the only thing I am concerned about is what I said in the first paragraph of this blog.
