Pay-Per-View Rewind of: WWE Over the Limit 22/05/2011: Match 8/Part 8/Conclusion by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!

Match/Stipulations:  The Mix [with Alex Riley] vs. the WWE Champion WWE Championship John Cena: "I Quit" Match for the WWE Championship

Match Attributes:

Match Quality: 6/10

Match Storyline: 6/10

Crowd Participation: 10/10

On Commentary: Booker T., Josh Matthews & Jim Ross 7/10

Satisfying Conclusion: 6/10

Recommend Watch: 6/10

Match Total: 41/60 - this match is good

Comments: this match is fundamentally sound and it does its job. It turns into a 2-on-1 Handicap Match from the outset with Alex Riley participating as well, then we have The Miz getting a John Cena fan trying to encourage him to say "I Quit."I am not sure if this fan was a plant or not [in the wrestling industry is basically means someone in on the theater of professional wrestling.]

The only reason I bring this up is because next to this fan is his friend which I am pretty sure if there was anything going on here he didn't get the script as he slightly over speaks his friend and tells The Miz "You quit first." "And the Comedy moment of this Pay-Per-View goes to?... This fan for turning this serious moment into a moment of well timed and executed comedy."

Now towards the closing stages of this match John Cena seems to forget to sell the beat down he has received and then at the end of this match it's like he suddenly remembers.

Finally; Jim Ross on Commentary is priceless; with Matthews and Booker T. they just bring back a level of professionalism to the Commentary Team and yes Matthews and Booker T. on their own [as a team] do a fantastic job as well. But all I can say is what is the WWE's loss is respectfully AEW's gain [Jim Ross] and Impact Wrestling's gain as well [Josh Matthews.]

Basic Result: the WWE Champion WWE Championship John Cena Retains his WWE Championship

This Pay-Per-View receives: 4/10, this Pay-Per-View is mixed; to be more precise generally speaking it struggles not to be a chore to watch; the feud between Michael Cole and Jerry “The King" Lawler being a part of the Commentary Team for a lot of this Pay-Per-View just destroys this Pay-Per-View. What they should have done is just take them off the Commentary Team for this Pay-Per-View, so they could have concentrated on their match tonight, but more importantly; so much more importantly we don't have to hear them bickering at one another throughout the night.

But on top of that this Pay-Per-View Card is not the most solid of Cards I have ever seen, but in fairness and balance if we didn't have the situation with the Commentary Team; they could have potentially work together to cover it up, instead of leaving this mostly subpar Card exposed.

The highest ranking match on this Card based on attributes that we see would be: Christian vs. the World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton: Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship with 60/60

The lowest ranking match on this Card based on attributes that we see would be: Kelly Kelly vs. the WWE Divas Championship Brie Bella [with her Real Life Twin Sister Nikki Bella:] Singles Match for the WWE Divas Championship with 15/60.
