The Book Thief 2013 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this film is excellent
Subtitles: first of all they are limited and secondly they are terrible, because
yes absolutely they have a very useful black box around them, but the text in
them are white and very, very small [just for the record I have no eyesight
issues, but if the text is small my reading issues become an issue.]
Fundamental core: the atmosphere controls and the scene
consistencies are smoothly built to work off one another throughout this film's
time length of roughly 130 minutes, everything just moves forward with a
consistent pace.
Cast: every single member of this cast do a fantastic job working off one
another [including with the atmosphere controls,] the dialogue
exchanges/character developments are beautifully managed to illustrate that
this situation is happening, but these people are still people with families, communities
and they are just trying to live as normally as possible [I should just point
out I am here to discuss this film and nothing else.]
You see to live
under these circumstances these characters/people have to have an element of
hardness to them which this film shows very well, okay fair enough some of
these characters are slightly emotionally harder than others most of the time,
but they are still people with emotions.
Artistic visions: they instantly transport their
audiences from our world into this time in history.
This film receives: 80% approval, this film is excellent
with a cast full of high-quality performances.
