He-Man and the Masters of the Universe 83 -- 85 [Volume 9] Episode 59:
The Witch and the Warrior by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this episode is good, but I do have one big
problem with this adventure.
Teela/Evil-Lyn: these two characters have to work together in this
episode and the dialogue exchanges are interesting [as they now and again try
to find some common ground within the conversation topics amongst other things
as well.]
Action sequences/Comedy level: He-Man
throws Kothos
[whilst he is wrapped up in ground or
something that looks like concrete,] from this location all the way to Snake
Mountain and then crash lands through a wall or ceiling,] he falls forward onto
the remains of this concrete, says something and looks and sounds dizzy from
his trip.
Artistic visions: there are some beautiful sequences
involving outside and inside of Snake Mountain at the beginning stages of this
episode, they are really eye-catching.
Ending message: it is something to the effect of this; try and
make the best out of an unpleasant situation, try and work it out and put a
smile on. Now this is where I have big problems with this episode [yes I am
aware that this TV program is old,] but maybe putting a smile on isn't the best
advice to give anyone, because this situation may be really uncomfortable and
on top of that this individual may have issues that may need medical or
counselling advice, so in a nutshell this ending message would have been fine
if they just left out try and smile, because smiling may not be an option or it
is just covering up a bigger issue underneath.
This episode receives: 72% approval, this episode generally
speaking is good, how this episode goes from location to location keeping up to
date with the different storyline elements [all happening at the same time,] I
have to be honest and say this; when Teela and Evil-Lyn's storyline gets screen
time, the storyline has a little bit more to it than anything else which is
happening in this episode.
