Ted 2012 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this film is highly entertaining.
Wahlberg/Kunis/Ted [voice by MacFarlane:] I
would say the chemistry and the character developments between these three
characters are the most important elements to this title by some distance, you
see without this uniquely interesting chemistry the rest of this project would
have struggled. On one hand in a split second the audience has to see these
free-flowing yet natural dialogue exchanges between Wahlberg and Ted, within
the next split second the audience will see Wahlberg and Kunis share these
sensible or sensible-ish dialogue exchanges or sometimes the audience will get
to see these conversations between Kunis and Ted which has its own atmosphere
controls [as in they both care for Wahlberg's character and not forgetting
these two characters also get along in their own way,] so as you can see from
my very rough example the chemistry and the character developments are very
important to this project.
Comedy level: now as I may have briefly said without this
chemistry this film would have struggled and this is what I mean by that,
throughout this film from beginning to end in many different ways, at least one
or two or all three characters set up most of the comedy elements, for an
example we have Wahlberg and Ted playing the name game [without saying too much
Wahlberg's character has to guess the name of Ted's new girlfriend] and because
these two characters have such a beautiful chemistry this scene feels very
natural and very funny, as if to illustrate to its audiences "We do this
kind of thing all the time."
Storyline: firstly the origin storyline of Ted is a good place to begin and
secondly, the storyline holds well together.
This film receives: 100% approval, it is incredibly funny
with excellently developed characters with a sprinkling of magic thrown in as
well.
