Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/stabbing/disintegrating/burning/torture/medical

Here we go again: briefly; the world of persons have given up praying to the Gods of Olympus; so Zeus [Liam Neeson:] still the King of the Gods but things have changed since we were in this universe, goes to talk to one of his sons Perseus [Sam Washington:] now widower and father; Perseus declines to originally aid his father, but is Zeus is betrayed by family, Perseus with now and again Pegasus has no other choice but to do the right thing.

Generally speaking: the script, framework and pacing; well it takes ages to get going in any way shape or form, you know when you have one of those scripts/storylines that just without any great focus just ambled along, well that is what we have here. It just for a heavy amount of this film never really gets going and then for some strange reason it catches the light and then; it is one of those awkward occasions where by the end of the film; in its entirety you are misled to think that was a solidly good film; when you have to remind yourself as it relates to the entire picture that; that is just a part of this sequel and when I say it catches a light I mean it doesn't mean like greased lightning, but things slot into place, which conversely move things with get up and go attitude.

Art and action; the vast majority of the art and/or action; well how can I put this nicely; they didn't look good when it was 2012 and as of this content being first created it is now 2025; they just look so bad from Perseus riding on Pegasus or the Cyclopses; just no thanks. It depends on how long some of you may be creating content, but those experienced ones of you would basically understand; there are essentially three options between good, bad and annoyingly there is some potential; anything around or/and based around Hephaestus [Bill Nighly:] a god or better known as the fallen one; he is the blacksmith to the other gods weapons and also architect; basically in a nutshell if it is made or built; it has probably been made or built by him: the Labyrinth is a good interpretation/representation of what they were going for here, the less I say about what is inside the Labyrinth the better as it was pointless having this version here and later on we get a very small sequence of Zeus and his brother Hades [Ralph Fiennes:] the God of the underworld and heavily responsible for this predicament the world is in right now; but these two brothers battle on the same side this which is obviously good but there is a much of it.

Comedy, character developments and performances; they tried this drop of comedy between Perseus and Pegasus which I don't really have given pointed out, because it sticks out like a sore thumb and it is really the kind of forced buddy; buddy comedy thing, like I said anything around Hephaestus arguing with Archimedes is comedy gold, Nighly took his character developments and made them into a lively performance; it is just highly disappointing that he didn't receive at minimum a positive nomination for his supporting role in this film and to be fair eventually the same can be said for Neeson and/or Fiennes: as in this sequel they give us more time with individually or/and together more time with these characters so that we can understand them and consequently connect with them; with these two brothers going off to put some foot to posterior like they used to when they were much younger; this is also comical. But I really couldn't care less for the chemistry between Perseus and Andromeda [previous film title: Alexa Davalos/this film title: Rosemary Pike:] this Princess turned Queen of Argos but saved Perseus when she was a princess has now got their own hands busy things. But the problem is they chemistry feels so lazy as they showed absolutely no signs of this earlier in previous title so it feels very much shoehorned in which comes off very cheap and tacky, but mine is that broadly speaking including these two performers in their character developments and performances are solidly good versions of what they are meant to be with performances that reflect that also.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; yes I had to remind myself of this entire film, yes absolutely there are some positives to it as you can clearly see/hear, usually I would have given a higher mark, but on remembering how for a heavy amount of the time it just ambled along without any conviction or/and purpose. I mean I watched this sequel like I did with the previous project/title and this individual asked me what was happening in this sequel, because they thought they had missed something and I had to reassure them that; no nothing has actually happened, so it isn't you, it is the sequel including this individual thinks I am rating this sequel too highly, I just put this in because it is interesting to give you a flavour of this sequel. This film also has some awards to its name and no they are not all positive either. 2 Winners that includes but not limited to BMI Film & TV Awards BMI Film Music Award 2012 Film Music Javier Navarrete. 3 Nominees MTV Movie + TV Awards 2013 MTV Movie Award Best Action Sequence and now negatively speaking; Razzie Awards 2013 Razzie Award Worst Supporting Actor Liam Neeson Shared with: Battleship

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/stabbing/cutting/dismemberment/disfigurement/disintegrating/transformation/animal cruelty/burning/biting/drowning/impaling/regeneration/reference to sexual assault

When Argos needs saving there is only one demigod for the job: briefly; Perseus [Baby: Unknown/Younger: Otto Farrant/Older: Sam Washington:] unknown to him to begin with he is a demigod that amongst other characters gets sent on a mission to save this place known as Argos. Be for Hades [Ralph Fiennes:] God of the underworld and Zeus's brother, he wants the Princess of Argos; Andromeda [Alexa Davalos] in some days time [yes I have forgotten the distance of time apologies for that] or he will release the Kraken to destroy Argos.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 108 minutes film is good; the journey aspect of this film is a reliably good part of this film, more or less it may just be the other aspects of this film that many be a limited hit and for large parts meh.

Art, actions and comedy; I can't stand much of the art, correction as I am sitting in thinking about it I can't stand any of it; No really I can't stand any of it. From Zeus [Liam Neeson:] the King of the Gods on Mount Olympus which has grown tiresome of his creations and in his angry frustration he allows this sequence of events to begin and he is the father of Perseus; but I digress: he has this shiny armour effects thing going on or any other bright effects going on with these Gods or/and nothing stands out in part from the really crummy effects on these monsters including but not limited to Medusa; she did nothing for me as it relates to this interpretation/version of her and the action sequences clearly look and felt as if they would just doing their job; okay a solid job but that was about it and to be honest there was only one sequence of action I liked which I will discuss in a little while.

Character developments and performances; well the character developments are straightforward connecting the dots that kind of thing, with performances which likewise were and are a true reflection of them, with the vast majority of this cast not exactly putting too much effort in; now to be more precise the only one that really put the effort in to make his character stand out and be well rounded with his characters; character type and tried to put some comedy like with giving some combat training with a sword to Perseus was; Mads Mikkelsen as Draco: he is the captain of the Royal guard of Argos that accompanies Perseus on his journey. This is one of those occasions where Mikkelsen should have clearly been at minimum nominated for a positive acting award, because anyone that comes out of this title looking good and when you watch or if you come to watch this film you will see; he clearly stands out head and shoulders above everyone else.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; now having said this I should also make it abundantly clear as you can tell and see it does have problems, but the strongest asset to this film is when it doesn't do anything too complicated, which conversely should tell you a lot about this film, but cosmetic side of this project is something I really don't like as you can clearly see, but then again this film got green lit to come out with a sequel just roughly 2 years later; Wrath of the Titans 2012, so you can make of that what you will. This film also has some awards to its name and it shouldn't be any surprise but no not all of them are positive awards. 4 Winners that include but not limited to positive ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards 2011 ASCAP Award Top Box Office Films Ramin Djawadi and negative Alliance of Women Film Journalists 2011 EDA Special Mention Award Remake That Shouldn't Have Been Made. Nominees 14 positive Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA Saturn Award Best Fantasy Film 2011 and negative which there is a selection, but I will just pick one; Golden Schmoes Awards 2010 Golden Schmoes Biggest Disappointment of the Year.

Real Talking Time:

Warning: well let's be completely honest from the very beginning, there will be censored adult language preferences and yes I will be making references to this conflict but not really discussing it as you will see that is not aiming or/and point and I am not a legal expert, but I do know some basic things.

So I have questions: like to begin with the more I look into this situation and the surrounding conflict of Palestine [Rachel Zegler supporter of Palestine] and Israel [Gal Gadot: she is an Israeli that has also served in the IDF: Israel Defence Force and supporter.] So how the fudge from the outset was this going to work? Honestly how? How the fudge was this going to work? Individually both of these individuals have been very outspoken for their support for years, so this is nothing new.

9 times out of 10 it is never good to see someone or a selection of people lose their job, but already I hope someone loses their job for this level of ignorance, how could they not see this as a potential problem or a massive red flag? Because unfortunately as everyone knows Zegler even at the young age of 23 years old has the misguided thinking process that anything she says or does either doesn't have some kind of repercussions or she has a right to say and do these things and if you disagree with her you are wrong.

Including but not limited to completely destroying Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 1937 every opportunity she got, turning a heavy amount of people off from watching Snow White 2025 and wanting to get paid more for dressing up as Snow White, people voting for Donald Trump and continuing this Free Palestine with her co-star Gadot that yet again let me remind you is an Israeli that has served the country.

If you think I am defending Gadot: you have another thing coming, as far as I can see; she is also partly responsible for the overwhelming failure of this film alongside Disney and Zegler as she stood/sat by Zegler as Zegler was putting the original 1937 under the bus and also their Snow White 2025 film title as well, so by standing/sitting there watching these train wrecks happening Gadot is also partly to blame.

Zegler considering legal action against Disney?: I stress the word considering, because they broke legal obligations to her for an example; Disney cancelled a $10 million event and she was going to apparently do a one off event as Snow White at Disneyland. I am begging for her to bring this case against Disney; do it, go on do it; do it; do it! Because her case/claim is fragile at best, like wafer thin made out of soft toilet paper kind of fragile.

Because if I was a member of her legal team; my first question is; at any point did you bring the project into disrepute? If she was stupid enough to say no, my next question would be so if I was to look online there would be no concrete evidence to suggest otherwise? And then she would have no other choice, but to go well [and as soon as she said well; I would know this case is sunk; as she goes well there was this one time, there was this time and I did say something when I was online about Free Palestine and I just remembered I haven't been professional with my Israeli co-star as well.]

So what you are telling me is; Disney's legal team could very easily countersue? Yes they have broken the conditions of your contract with them, but they did these things as an exercise of damage limitations, they could easily say that by your actions you have cost them millions upon millions; so they could argue and they probably will argue that; you broke the conditions of your contract first, so it is almost irrelevant what action Disney have taken to essentially limit the damage and to try and save whatever financial resources they can. In fact their counter lawsuit if they bring one against you is incredibly much stronger and have a much, much greater chances of success costing you millions upon millions.

Now I should point out; I am not a fan of how Disney have been doing business four years with this social politics and yes I am a subscriber to their Internet service. But in this one case I would really, really like it if they took Zegler down a peg or three, to the point where she would have to work at Hooters. Now don't get me wrong and I am fully aware that this statement is going to split opinions into essentially age ranges; meaning anyone from say the 2000's and onwards is probably going to disagree with me, but everyone else at minimum is going to see where I'm coming from at the very least; for example I have been around content creating for 15 or 16 years at this point; so I earn the right to have a valid opinion. But I am now finding with the younger generations; that have been around for literally a sneeze have this false sense of I have an opinion and I am going to make sure that everyone else hears it and agrees with it or if they disagree with it they are wrong, now I am not saying they can't have an opinion, but when you haven't grafted or earnt your stripes, but you expect people to bow down and allow you to say or do whatever you like without any consequences then; I have a fudgin' problem.

I mean I don't particularly like this idea and I know it would have never happened and on top of that I would have preferred politics to stay out of this project, but I am just saying if we are going to do this or have this; let's do it this way. Why didn't Zegler reach out to Gadot and say; we have a difference of opinions, but how would you like to put a minute advertising commercial together to advertise this film; to basically say; we may be going head-to-head in this film, but we stand together calling for a ceasefire as it relates to the conflict between Palestine and Israel.

I know, I know it sounds really cheesy; but it is much better than the current situation that is happening in the background to this project of them taking shots at one another. But back to Disney and Marvel/under on Disney umbrella had the same problem with Brie Larson some time ago now; in both cases they need to stop hiring entitled people that could do major damage to whatever projects they are a part of; I mean here is a great idea; when you start talking to individuals about appearing in your projects and if you get the feeling of red flags you may want to take the hint, but as far as I am aware Zegler has been benched by Disney, I mean what does that mean? It is like a sports season. She is always going to be this way and she will never change, because she has been allowed to express herself without learning the fine details of how to conduct herself in a professional manner, when she has worked with somebody that has a direct but the opposite opinion to herself; in a nutshell essentially saying for now I need to park my opinions and get on with my job and be professional.

The sooner we get through this time, the sooner we can begin to phase out Zegler hopefully, because if after this entire situation Disney or anyone else hires Zegler; the fault would be theirs as they know what they would be getting into with her; but I would recommend that Disney take the same approach as Marvel did with Larson, because in a nutshell let me put this into words that any business understands; she is a indefinite financial catastrophic high risk.

Young Frankenstein 1974 by AverageMansReviews

Young Frankenstein 1974 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/electrocution/transformation/dismantlement/burning/squashing/animal cruelty/capital punishment/choking/transformation./mechanics

Grandsons like grandfathers: briefly; it is a parody of  Frankenstein:The 1818 novel/it uses the outlay of a sequel: Dr. Frederick Frankenstein [one of the screenplay writers: Gene Wilder:] is a highly skilled scientist that tries so hard to distance himself from his grandfather, pronouncing his last name differently, but after meeting a man, he travels to Transylvanian, where he meets Igor [Marty Feldman:] that is likewise the grandson of the servant of Dr. Frankenstein back in the day; he really pronounces the I in Igor.

Generally speaking: the framework, pacing and comedy of this 105 minutes film is good; as it knows what it wants to do and sticks to the plan; as we move throughout this film from time to time we have the closing circle or a reopening circle depending if we are entering or leaving a scene, it uses an old-style of comedy where timing is everything, so that on one hand it doesn't interrupt the flow of the project in question, but it takes place nonetheless. Such as the usage of a double entendre as it relates these door knockers whilst Dr. Frankenstein is assisting his new assistant Inga [Teri Garr:] she helps him with his experiments; to disembark from this horse and carriage or/and skit/sketch seen in a brief example we have Igor saying  that this violin is still warm, so whomever was playing hasn't gotten too far as this the violin was a freshly made murder scene or a cup of tea, Igor's hump has moved to a different side as Dr. Frankenstein points out with Igor saying no and then at some points we have breaking off the fourth wall when we have characters either indicating or/and saying things directly to the camera. So as you can probably tell the framework and pacing needs to be able to have a general structure but also be allowed to naturally pop in and out of the plot either with making these jokes or breaking the fourth wall, but whatever the case may be it must be able to naturally get on with the storyline.

Art; this film is black and white; it is well presented clean and tidy; you know this film is from the era of filmmaking where they didn't have a lot of money by today's standards [on a little bit of research this film had comfortably under $3 million as its budget;] so that should give you a clear idea of what they were dealing with here. But if or when you take the time to see this title; they did a fantastic job of bringing this story to life; be it the scenery or wardrobe or anything else; everything just contributes to ensure; as is viewers have an immersive experience with what they had to work with at the time.

Character developments and performances; the character developments are either brilliantly eccentric or/and expanded versions of what they are meant to be. As most of you from the 1980's and much older generations would know Wilder is synonymous with enthusiastic/eccentric roles; the characters where in one second he could be calm and relaxed the next minute frustrated, angry and intimidating; but it is the smoothness and natural on how he goes from one to the other and then back again and we see all of this encapsulated in this performance.  Feldman; to be honest I don't know too much about this performer, but when I have more time I will be looking over his filmography, because in the context of this film; he provides the grounding; which also allows him when it is time to do so more of the quick witted bits; like pointing out the violin is still warm. They complement fluently and Garr contributes to this pairing/trio very well indeed; basically this is a well assembled cast that will bring at minimum a little something to the table including Mel Brooks as the other screenplay writer, director and Werewolf/Cat Hit by Dart/voice of Victor Frankenstein.

This film receives: 9/10, this film is excellent; I decided to award another mark based on I had the privilege with the person I watched some of this content with to go and see this film at the cinema on its 50th anniversary; and based on my viewing experience if after 50 years you can stand the test of time without any major ageing [let's put the technological advances to one side] with a good-natured horror/comedy then the least I can do is add one more mark. This film also has awards accredited to its name such as 11 Winners that includes Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 1976 Golden Scroll Best Supporting Actor Marty Feldman, Best Make-Up William Tuttle and Best Set Decoration Robert De Vestel Dale Hennesy. 8 Nominees that includes Academy Awards, USA 1975 Oscar Best Writing, Screenplay Adapted From Other Material Gene Wilder Mel Brooks and Best Sound Richard Portman Gene S. Cantamessa; Golden Globes, USA 1975 Golden Globe Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical Cloris Leachman as Frau Blücher: she is the long-term housekeeper and Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture Madeline Kahn as Elizabeth: initially the girlfriend of Dr. Frankenstein [ Gene Wilder.]

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/transformation/animal cruelty/slavery/drugs/stabbing/impaling/burning/medical

Let's just get this done: in summary; Snow White [ Baby: Olivia Verrall/ Young: Emilia Faucher/Adult: Rachel Zegler:] she once had a good life, but in more recent times, she is trying to keep alive and take back the kingdom from the Evil Queen/another character [Gal Gadot:] she is Snow White's stepmother that will stop at nothing to ensure that she stays on the throne as the rule of this kingdom.

Generally speaking: the script, framework and pacing of this 109 minutes film is; well the script has obviously been changed to fit the narrative that they are trying to spin here; as you will quickly learn in this content; the framework and pacing of this film is no way shape or form the biggest problem of this title; it is pretty straightforward and it sticks to the task.

Art and action; I am going to give praise to the landscapes, the set designs and accessories; as they really did do an excellent job of bringing this world to live; so at the very least they got this right. But Snow White, the Evil Queen and I am not a fan of the animals or/and the Seven Dwarfs; as someone pointed out in their content Snow White looks a little like Lord Farquaad [from Shrek 2001] and her costume is garbage; because Zegler is 5'2 in height she doesn't look right as Snow White in the slightest, moving on to the Evil Queen; this is one of those occasions where as long as they don't do any close-ups or anything where you can have a really good look at what she is wearing and the make- up then you can get away with that kind of. But then again as soon as you do; the viewers can clearly see; this is just bad on an epic scale; from the costume from a broader perspective looking as comfortable as the wearing a black bin bag held together with sellotape; with the head/face unit somehow looking really tight, consequently squeezing Gadot's face up and for the make-up; I don't think they have got enough make-up on her face? [ Yes I am being heavily sarcastic,] maybe they should use a bigger paintbrush just to cake it on, much later on they get the transformation sequence spot on, but whomever. Even though I have somewhat praised the artistic visions I can not in good conscience say the same about the dwarfs; as they are really unappealing and off-putting: the person I watch some of this content with in a nutshell also didn't like them and whilst I'm on the subject having Snow White/Zegler sitting in the middle of these characters at the end of one musical number is just ghastly and self-indulgent garbage. The animals are/were just the equivalent of computer animated generic characters really, they serve their purpose, yes they deliberately looked cute, but I wasn't buying what they were selling; basically as you can tell there is/was a lot to vomit about. The action sequences; what action sequences? Meaning nothing majorly stood out and the only one that I can really point out is; where we have these criminals causing a distraction so that Snow White can get away: this was good entertainment; meaning for what it was and however long it lasted; it was a positive nonetheless.

Character developments, performers and voice performers; this entire segment is the overwhelming problem to this film by far, the surrounding characters by their character types are a big positive based on as they are; I am not overlooking how far they have actually changed; all I am saying is if you didn't know their back story they would be reliably good. But now let's move on to the fact that we actually know these back stories; they are garbage, 100% garbage. I find it highly irritating that we have one actor in this film with height deficiency as the voice of Grumpy: Martin Klebba: as his character's name would suggest he is a grumpy dwarf and after some research I am pretty sure, then again I could be wrong, so I will apologise regardless though character with height deficiency on-screen that you will see is not a real person with height deficiency. I would love to tell you the name of the character and yes it does get said, but I can't find it and I have spent a good half an hour trying to find it. But whatever the case may be; I stand by the fact that all of the dwarfs should be played by real individuals with height deficiency without question or resistance, the more I think about it; the more I think that this computer animation is just ugly and the voice performances are well for me they are just fine, they will do the job. But now can I say one thing without giving too much away, but has really infuriated me: so let me get this right it was perfectly acceptable for Zegler and/or Gadot to absolutely trounced the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 1937 film for there being a Prince/Prince Charming; basically calling it weird weird on the promotional tour: in this film reference to Knight in shining armour but my point is this; it is okay for them to mock this, but at the same time it is perfectly acceptable for a man to potentially show some chivalry and protection by taking a hit for Snow White in this film, so would someone like to explain to me on one hand you have your lead partnership destroying the original consequently this film and then on the other hand clearly showing elements of things you were being quite vocal/scratch that being incredibly loud on your hatred; I would like to close out being nothing but hypocritical cherry picking, misandry women.

So let's talk about the big colossal problem; Zegler and/or Gadot; to begin with our individually or together insufferable as Zegler comes off as incredibly disingenuous; and it needs to be said whoever told Zegler she could perform a musical number on her own; needs to be slapped around the face with a wet fish; she needs to be performing with someone in a musical number to come across as competent at the very least; so when she sings with somebody this would be a good musical number. Likewise Gadot has trouble singing as well; relatively early on it does feel and look like in one of her musical numbers; she is very uncomfortable as she is either looking around for the camera or looking down the camera; either way she is hardly comfortable performing this musical number; later on as it relates to other musical numbers; yet again it does feel and look like she actually holds it together. This partnership; they seemingly have even broadly speaking very little chemistry, so more often than not just feels very formulaic and don't get me wrong there are some fleeting moments where they are in the same book on the same page. But it doesn't help when Zegler wants to play geopolitics by supporting Palestine: Free Palestine when her co-star/lead partner is an Israeli from Israel and on top of that yet again in short Zegler has made references to people that support President Donald Trump will never know peace and to basically un-follow her as she doesn't want their business. I mean I wonder if the penny has dropped for Disney yet; that just maybe this whole idea of this live-action version was and is such a bad idea to begin with.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; I mean take away the big issues of this title and somehow it finds itself in this bracket of my marking system; I can't stress this enough the positives of this title be it the surrounding characters or the other positives I have mentioned do so much of they have been lifting. I will put this in another continent, but I will give you the nutshell version here Disney and no I am not defending Disney; but in this case Disney have massive problems in the form of Zegler and/or Gadot: you see in theory this project should have been a strong reliable nostalgic cash grab, but instead it has been anything but. I mean I would quietly suggest if this film was to make back $130 million in its entire run or obviously more then I wouldn't be happy with it if I was Disney. But at the same time with the negative press surrounding this project I would take them right now as things stand box office takings is roughly $95 million from at most a bucket of $270 million. There is some good artistry in the closing credits and somehow this film has an award accredited to its name; 1 Nominee The Queerties 2025 Queerty Next Big Thing

Real Talking Time:

It was back on the big screen: this film was back briefly on the big screen; where before this film again we had Bruce and Linda Lee's daughter and young sister of her brother Brandon Lee [synonymous with The Crow 1994 film: which is another film that you should absolutely see at least once in your life, where he tragically died; just 28-year-old.] Shannon Lee [she is the overseer of the Bruce Lee Foundation and Linda is a volunteer for this foundation as well currently as far as I can tell:] she talks about this film and her father's legacy from the 50th anniversary; in 2025 it would be the 52 year anniversary.

Not only does this film need to be seen once in a lifetime for sure, but whenever it is possible it should also be seen on the big screen as well, as you can get a full on experience from the film; with its fantastic scene construction, landscapes and/or costume designs are not forgetting the fluent combat sequences where in some occasions the camera shot; gives us the viewers the opportunity to experience a ride along as we get to see from individual's perspective in an action sequence and on top of that Bruce Lee designed the martial arts sequences; as Shannon indicates that Bruce had to essentially stand fast on how he wanted the film  to be as they wanted to make changes, so Lee spent time off set to in a nutshell insure that this film was done how it obviously turned out; with is in turn a marvellous piece of cinematic filmmaking that will forever stand the test of time. The person I watch some of this content with, also we enjoyed watching this film on the big screen as well.

Heavy Warning: I can't stress this enough and this is one of those rare occasions where I am being 100% serious that this content is not going to be pleasant reading and in particular not for those under the age of at minimum 16 years old, I should remind people because of my mental health/illness I don't do feelings, so don't see anything as I say as a emotional response, but just cold hard facts and opinions, I can't stress this enough you have been warned and on top of that as you can tell from the title of this content already that should give you a hint that this isn't going to be pleasant reading, so for the final time you have been warned.

Look how I see it is this: as far as I can tell this Government can dress it up however they like; spending money on Defence or/Ukraine or filling this massive hole left by the previous Tory government or whatever, or the cost of Brexit or/and Covid-19 or/and immigration or whatever frankly I don't give two fudges!

It is about time that I don't know the rich pay more of their share, MPs stop giving themselves a pay rise and can I just say it was in extremely bad fudgin' taste to give yourselfs a 2.8% pay rise on exactly the same day as these benefit changes frankly I hope you get something terminal, I am absolutely fine with saying that, because when our sitting government condemns the disabled or/and the vulnerable to a terminal situation: where our lives aren't going to get better in fact they are going to get much worse, so much more quicker then it seems reasonable if you can make devastating choices to make people's lives much harder or eventually choose suicide as relief, then at minimum you deserve something terminal; as I have just discovered when I go through another justification benefit claim the possibility of me losing money is at best probably as the risk assessment forecast for the benefit changes have indicated some form of loss.

How can I put this nicely: these attempts of getting people out to work are for high percentage of them are doomed to fail; how do I know this? Because I have been disabled for my entire life and will be for the rest of it, so I know for a fact by life experience there isn't these facilities to cater for these disabled individuals: be it a accessible disabled toilet [meaning okay you may have a disabled toilet, but is it always accessible and trust me when I say I have been in many situations where the disabled toilet is not always accessible so I have either wet myself or had to go and find somewhere quiet to go to the bathroom,] are you going to make these rooms bigger for people with mobility issues or on the ground floor when or if you have lift or not or when it breaks down, are documents going to be made bigger for people with eyesight issues, are employers going to be understanding that their employee may have to have time off because of a wheelchair breaking down with also goes for medical appointments and must attend appointments or is their employer going to understand some mental health or/and mental disabilities and yet again being okay with them having time off? I mean these are just some of the things that I have got off the top of my head.

You see I seriously doubt that even if this government is planning to give some employers some money and employees support to get into work that this would be enough to get a substantial disabled individuals out to work, yes I am fully aware of in my case maybe five people that could and should go out to work as they have shown there is nothing wrong with them.

But the reality is; this Labour government are just doing what the Tory government tried to do roughly speaking three or four times throughout 14 years and it just didn't work and it will never work, not until they realise one massive elephant in the room and if you have been paying attention I have already briefly discussed this massive elephant; which is until there is real investment of I would feel comfortable saying billions [or better yet just make it a blank check] to bring this up to scratch, because as I have been saying for many years the disabled and others have been left in the dark ages of easily the 1950s as it relates to conditions of how to live a productive life being working or anything else: so in a nutshell if you're not getting what I am making reference to let me make this nice and clear for you; until they are state-of-the-art facilities for those that can work in a working environment, there is no point putting them off the benefit system, to go to another for another benefit for them to get out to work when there isn't the facilities or 100% support to facilitate their needs or financially beneficial jobs; you know to make sure that they aren't working in minus financially in the first place and if there are some of you that still don't know what I am talking about all this transparently clear in essence my point is; it will take lots of money to make some money back, I can't make it much clearer than that, so in essence all the previous government and this government want to do is push us deeper into poverty or/and push those that in theory could possibly work on a good day and forget that possibly six other days were the disability or illness stops them completely.

I mean why don't you go after the parents with more than two children plus and get them to work more, because the last time I looked spreading your legs and shooting off seaman is not official illness or disability: they make their choice in fact you have these TV programs that now celebrate such things as teenagers having children or/and one family having 23 children or something like that and being given time and money on TV; so why don't you go after them as they must you sitting there laughing at you, because the taxpayer is paying these families to have sex and nothing more or/and sexual content creators as they make thousands of pounds a year.

Meanwhile you have someone like me with quadriplegic cerebral palsy which is degenerative as I get older it gets more and more difficult and so much more painful than it was in my teens and on top of that I have a mental illness, but the choices of this government are taking more and more choices away from me, because their choices have consequences and effects. I don't care if I have said this once before already, at this point I just don't care, because I will say it time after time if or when it is appropriate: because the previous government and this government has treated me like something on the bottom of their shoes: it trickles down to/translates down to the general public, so basically monkey see, monkey do: I can forget the following having dates, relationships, sex, partner/other, children and all that; because people like myself are generally speaking seen as society rejects, so you may as well make my home my prison, because all you are doing is stripping away my quality of life and others as well the sad reality is I don't see myself getting to an old age as for the past 15 or 16 years I have struggled every day not to commit suicide and consistently I have to tell myself not today, but tomorrow I know one day it may be a different answer, I will never felt for the Tories or now including Labour ever again.

I will leave this content on these final words from my full-time carer/mother "I hope that these politicians never find themselves in a situation to my son."

Real Talking Time:

It is finally here: let's be brutally honest from the outset, the only way you would know that this film was going to be a complete cleansing of what Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs should have been is if you had been living under a rock for roughly the past 2 years. Because I would like to think most of us had a clear idea that this cleansing exercise was and is going to be a complete shower of manure. I mean as of Tuesday 25/03/2025 it currently has a 1.8/10 on IMDb and just under $89 million at the box office, from a budget of somewhere between $240-$270 million [I am just putting this out there: I don't know if this includes the extra expenditure to include these seven characters or not:] to be honest I don't care either way.

But it is a glorious sight to see these cinemas now being opened to a medium's gathering as all of these ghosts are sitting in these seats watching this movie or it is either that or the seats are just empty and surely that can't be the case? Because Disney wouldn't have wasted in essence almost $300 million on a project that was doomed to fail surely not? They wouldn't be that fudgin' stupid [for those that cannot pick up sarcasm; yes I am being sarcastic] and yes if you look around social media you will find people have taken footage of these empty cinema's as this film is playing.

I am aware that Rachel Ziegler is getting fired from other projects, be inside Disney or/and Marvel or/and other projects, my question is to Disney: putting it to one side for a minute that this film is stinking up the box office; why hasn't anyone considered suing Ziegler and before I continue yes she could countersue for breaking promises, but surely Disney would have a much stronger case. Going from the perspective of well between Ziegler and/or Gal Gadot: they went out of their way to create such a bad atmosphere around this movie [regardless if it is absolute manure or not, but probably is by the looks of it.] They were meant to be professionals and sell the film. But instead everyone knows they went and basically they individually took a shovel and bury this film; so if I was Disney I would sue Ziegler and Gadot for $200 million [$100 million each] and really don't give two dumplings what or if they are on the same page now or there is enough blame for both of them regardless of individually or/and a pairing [and if it is true Ziegler is for free Palestine, whilst no surprise Godot is for Israel and for those people that don't know is from Israel hence why I said no surprise.] But if this is the case; this absolute manure storm couldn't get any worse, but yet yes it can as Ziegler said that for Harris and if you don't unsubscribe, I don't want you and you will have never know peace; apparently; I have to say Ziegler is turning out to be such a nice woman isn't she? [Sarcasm here detected]

Now let me educate the younger generation for a minute; you see in life this is one of those situations where the money aspect may look ludicrous, but when you're dealing with such a big company as Disney there is something of equal importance instead of money and that is public perspective; so hypothetically and theoretically speaking if Disney were able to settle for something like $25 million if they were to bring forward a case or/and cases it would all be a case of public image and that is all what matters. Because as things stand at the moment both female performers got apparently paid $3 million each for this movie and based on public image it looks like Disney have got caught with their pants down, so if I was them I would recommend taking this action based on the possibility of some other performer or/and performers thinking above their station.

So yes as I have already indicated I have my ticket to go and see this film this week; do I think that Disney are going to learn from this situation? Probably not no. Why? Well case and point we already have a live-action Lilo & Stitch 2025 movie coming out literally just after this in a few months time 23/05/2025: it looks good, but not great, but with just a budget of $150 million: it should be a financial success, to somewhat balanced the books of this financial disaster piece. I mean I can't wait to see the next live-action adaption may be Oliver & Company 1988? How about Disney Gargoyles 1994 to 1996 3 Seasons: 78 episodes: which if you've never seen it all episodes are on Disney+: but here my warning: I would recommend a certificate of 12 A: based on this was back in the day when Disney actually tried to put out slightly mature content and broadly speaking it does have dark undertones which are not so undertone, but I digress; my point being here is clearly this; which one of the legendary back catalogue are they going to butcher next just for a quick buck; because at this point I think it is safe to assume not if but when they pull out the next iconic title to get at minimum a remake of some description, because that means they don't have to think too much.

Small Things Like These 2024 by AverageMansReviews

Small Things Like These 2024 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is colourful effects/burning/child abuse then for those that are either not familiar with this subject matter or/and not from my region of the world there is a religious component in this film.

Look it is the 1985 as the original Danger Mouse is still on TV: briefly; we meet this Irish family; the Furlong family and the head of this family is Bill Furlong [Younger: Louis Kirwan/Older: Cillian Murphy:] he is a hard-working; worker family named business in farming and distribution of produce, one of the places he makes a delivery to is this convent where unpleasant sounds and goes on take place; the head of this convent is Sister Mary [Emily Watson:] her official title is Mother Superior of this convent.

Generally speaking: the problem I have with the script is without giving much away but enough to make my point; in a nutshell the film stops at a weird time so you know you're wondering what happened directly next [even though we do get some words on screen on the conclusion of this situation,] it isn't the same. But putting that to one side the framework pacing of this 98 minutes film is good; but even before the ending style; I was wondering; they better get a move on if we are going to have a normal beginning, middle and actual ending and yes the back and forth of Bill in time periods did take some time to get used to; as in are they doing the back and forth thing? Well when Bill's name gets said that is a big resounding yes.

Art; the scenery construction, wardrobe and landscapes really do transport its viewers back into the 1980's, so excellent work recreating this decade on all levels.

Character developments and performances; broadly speaking of us of all; this is a well rounded cast of characters/performances. Being led by/supported by Murphy as Bill; which sadly shows signs of some level of PTSD or potentially child abuse in his history as it relates to being around Mother Superior Sister Mary/Watson [I should point out this in itself is not shown, but possibly indicated by Bill/Murphy's body language and demeanour down her] and to really put this dynamic cross Mother Superior Sister Mary/Watson has to ever so slightly yet just a pinch get Bill to take this card, even though he is really struggling with the idea as to indicate if he doesn't, he knows by years of experience what she is really like and how possibly aggressive and destroying she can be, which her reach may not be just for him but also his family; so life would be easier if he was to just take this card, regardless if he wants to or not; it is a subtle yet strong way to put across her power and standing not only in this convent but also the entire community has well.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; on reflection I have decided to award this film title another mark, I was going to do this for Murphy anyway but I have also decided to include Watson as well. I mean I would have awarded two extra marks on this title, but the only thing stopping me from doing that would be the sudden stop of this film and the writing on screen thing. This film also has some awards to its name such as 1 Winner Berlin International Film Festival 2024 Silver Berlin Bear Best Supporting Performance Emily Watson. 2 Nominees includes from the same award ceremony/event Golden Berlin Bear Best Film Tim Mielants

Juror #2 2024 by AverageMansReviews

Juror #2 2024 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/vehicle crash/domestic violence/bodily functions/medical/reference to racism, I will also be making reference to a hand gesture in this content.

I will try to get out of it: briefly; Justin Kemp [Nicholas Hoult:] he is a journalist, that is recovering from an addiction, he gets called up for jury duty, but he and his wife Allison "Ally" Crewson [Zoey Deutch:] she is a local schoolteacher, but she is currently off due to expecting a baby very shortly. I mean he does try to get out of it, but he is unsuccessful.

Generally speaking: the script, framework and pacing is in my opinion problematic, as you will find out in the final section of this content, but for here and now I can tell you that I was not amused by any of this and to give you a smidgen of taste; I can't stand the fact that this project changes from a location to location film title meaning it just has to focus on what is here and now and you can get away from the project in question having an out and out ending it is all about what we are focusing on in this project; that is or what matters to a everyday film [beginning, middle and end.] Which in turn makes the framework and pacing of this 114 minutes film difficult to judge, because on one hand it works to a good standard and on the other hand it doesn't work, because it isn't designed to turn into an everyday film; in a nutshell I was and am not amused with this; that is for sure.

Art and comedy; this project is a very clean and well presented project; they really went with the idea of realism and look out for an interpretation of American Gothic.

Character developments and performances; I have to be honest broadly speaking some of the character developments are really annoying as in; they quickly wanted to vote one way to quickly go home, sync with performances to put that across as putting themselves first over this massive job. But putting that to one side the character developments and performances are good versions of what they are meant to be.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; the whole layout of the film for me is incredibly annoying, frustrating and without giving too much away, I really don't like films that leave this gaping hole massive question-mark, as I have already referenced it was just a situation to situation based outlay of a film, the outcome of the film would be irrelevant, because that is out of the parameters of the situation to situation bases, preferably a situation would have just been useful. But as we go back and forth between home and the court case/jury room or/and including going outside, hence why this situation to situation bases is applied here. But as soon as it begins to edge towards running as a normal film then you open yourself up to; a beginning, middle and end outlay or suggestive of one out of two outlays; meaning allow your audience to come to their own conclusions would also be another way, which if done correctly would be an articulat and satisfying conclusion, but to go with this ending/ending style, I just have to call it as I see it; it looks and feels like a flying of the middle finger to your audience.

This film has some awards to its name such as; 4 Winners that include but not limited to Georgia Film Critics Association (GAFCA) 2025 Oglethorpe Award for Excellence in Georgia Cinema Clint Eastwood Jonathan A. Abrams and Oklahoma Film Critics Circle Awards OFCC Award Best Body of Work Nicholas Hoult Shared with: The Garfield Movie  Nosferatu  The Order

Black Bag 2025 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/impaling/drugs/medical/references to suicide and Russia

Friday: briefly; in British Intelligence there is a mole in the agency and it is down to George Woodhouse [Michael Fassbender:] he is a very capable individual to take care of the situation, even though it may involve his wife Kathryn St. Jean [Cate Blanchett:] she also works for the same agency and individually they are top class at their professions.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 94 minutes film is; well it is excellently designed, but also problematic as in I get on one hand; firstly we have this day by day divided and also what they were trying to do, by making it atmospheric and melodic; it brings a level of intensity to the film in particular to the dialogue exchanges, but on the other hand if it goes on for too long without a change of gear; you do run the risk of putting your audience's to sleep, which very much happened in my case; hence why I said it was excellently designed, but also problematic.

Art and action; so to assist/compliment this atmosphere we have the set designs, costumes and accessories; it is a very clean and tidy as to illustrate the effects of working in this lifestyle of the action I saw which wasn't much [I may as well be honest about it.]

Character developments and performances; these character developments are all good, but it does take this cast of performers to bring them to life, as they are all somewhat damaged by this career choice; I would have really possibly enjoyed this film and consequently gave it a much higher mark if from time to time this film had a bit of get up and go to it, but as I have already referenced I get what they were trying to do as well.

This film receives: 3/10, this film is poor; I just found it really difficult to stay awake to watch this film at the cinema, I am sure the other person I watch some of this content with wouldn't mind saying, this individual also had difficulty staying awake throughout this film. Don't get me wrong if you like either/and Blanchett or/and Fassbender take a look at this film, but keep in mind what I have already said.

Mufasa: The Lion King 2024 by AverageMansReviews

Mufasa: The Lion King 2024 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/environmental/burning

This is how things began: briefly; Rafiki [Younger: Kagiso Lediga/Older: John Kani:] a mandrill that is a shaman of the what comes to be called The Pride Lands, tells the story of how things came to be what they are.

Generally speaking: the script, framework and pacing of this 118 minutes film is; did this story really have to be told? It by far doesn't make Mufasa look particularly great and discredits his legacy, but as you will read in this content this won't be the only time I make references to this and on top of that it slightly has adapted the outlay from The Lion King 1½ 2004 or alternative name The Lion King  3/4: animated project [from the perspective of storyteller:] but in no way shape or form as funny or amusing, so framework and pacing is of the solid variety as it knows what it is doing and sticks to the plan.

Art, action and comedy; it looks nice, the only things that stood out for me was the white lions, I have just realised the white lions do a lot of the heavy lifting for this project; be it the action or the genuine comedy as we have Mufasa [Young voiced by: Braelyn and Brielle Rankins/Older voiced by: Aaron Pierre/Oldest: James Earl Jones: archived recordings right at the beginning of this film] and Taka [Younger voiced by: Theo Somolu/Older including another name voiced by: Kelvin Harrison Jr.:] they are adopted brothers that are currently trying to out run these white lions, so in a nutshell they jump off thinking this white lion wouldn't follow, but they were wrong [I haven't forgotten about the musical numbers aspect; but I will bring them up later.]

Character developments and voice performances; well as you may have guessed already, but this sequel/prequel [yes as I have already shown both of these words are acceptable based on; we are in this sequel but discussing/seeing predominately a prequel.] This definitely without a shadow of doubt harms the legacy of Mufasa as without giving too much away gets chosen to fulfil a destiny that wasn't his as he isn't of royal blood anyway and yes I know he doesn't want it to begin with, but that is almost beside the point meaning another character gets sold out and very much begins their journey to become someone else. Okay now let's talk about the character developments as they are; they very much fulfil the criteria of a sequel/prequel; the only characters and voice performances that comes out of this sequel/prequel as an excellent and interpretation is younger and older Rafiki and  Kiros [voice by Mads Mikkelsen:] he is a white lion leader of white lions seeking revenge against Simba; we all so have him sing a musical number entitled "Bye Bye" which incidentally is the only song that really grabbed my attention and in my honest opinion is the only song that really is the quality of the soundtrack from The Lion King 1994 [animated film: yes I know it is high praise, but it is the only musical number that really well and truly embodies the standard and qualities, the rest of the musical numbers feel like cheap imitations/trying hard.] But I digress; for the rest; they are a very paint by colours approach and yes it is a case of I copy and paste approach of what I have said about the character developments, but instead of the word character developments just replace that with voice performances instead.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; I mean originally I was going to give this film a higher mark, but I really can't do it, no I can't do it; it just has so many mixed things about it; hell the uncomfortable truth based on my opinion is the fact that Disney wanted a cash grab, because I don't remember anyone particularly wanting or calling for this title. I mean based on the facts when this content was first created Friday 20/12/2024 is its opening weekend and it has just over $122 million from a budget of $200 million plus which if I was Disney I would be deeply unsatisfied with this performance, but hey at least it has some awards accredited to its name. 4 Nominees Casting Society of America, USA 2025 Artios Award Outstanding Achievement in Casting - Animation Feature Molly Rose Francine Maisler, Satellite Awards 2025  Satellite Award Best Visual Effects, Music + Sound Awards, International 2024 Music+Sound Award Best Original Composition in a Film Trailer Felix Erskine (composer) Lukas Burton (music producer) and The Queerties 2024 Queerty Next Big Thing
