Pay-Per-View Rewind of: WWF/WWE WrestleMania I 31/03/1985 Match 4/Part 4 by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!

Warning/Disclaimer: there is flashing effects/colourful effects, I am not or ever likely to be a professional wrestler.

Match/Stipulation: Brutus Beefcake [with “Luscious" Johnny Valiant] vs. David Sammartino [with Bruno Sammartino:] Singles Match

Match Attributes:

Match Quality: 7/10

Match Storyline: 5/10

Crowd Participation: 8/10

On Commentary: Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse "The Body” Venture 8/10

Satisfying Conclusion: 1/10

Recommend Watch: 5/10

Match Total: 34/60 - this match is mixed

Comments: we have what I will call manager watch, we have these squares on screen of these competitors managers watching individually and the commentary team talking about it, followed by good quality wrestling and the commentary team treating it as a real sport, instead of predetermined kayfabe [to be fair the commentary team do this from the very start of this match/match slot anyway.] Beefcake performs this back body drop on David Sammartino; David seems to not go off straight and not get enough left off Beefcake ongoing up and over so consequently this looks sloppy as he goes over with a bump [in the interest of fairness and balance Beefcake to get out of a wrestling move uses his ring attire to get out of this wrestling hold, so as it relates to here and now Monsoon goes with the narrative of this is just an excerpt; "Sammartino gets thrown in and back body drop for his  troubles still blinded I'm sure" [Monsoon a little later makes another reference to David's vision.] Beefcake sends David into the top right from the bottom left corner of the ring and I know I am not an expert on things in an outside of the ring as it relates to wrestling as I have already made reference to or the actual ring itself, but I still have my hearing and based on my hearing this top right section doesn't sound right as in after this match someone might want to run some repairs on it and no I am not being too picky here, when or if you come to watch this match you can clearly hear something; someone might want to take a look at.

Now as I was saying ; this match is/was shaping up to be another solidly good match I do stress was, but as you can see from the marking something happened which can be seen as one in the same as it relates to positive and a negative; generally speaking we have this rumble involving these two participants and their managers which on a positive the crowd participation goes nuts [but as it relates to the match/match slot it gets 8/10,] but on a negative it affects the Basic Result of this match which you will soon find out, but I would have preferred to have a better outcome, even if it was a dusty finish would have been more satisfying [Beefcake picks up the win,] but more speculation I don't know if they had something downlines later on, but a dusty finish would have still justified the potential for something down the line anyway or they just wanted to protect these two competitors as the commentary team Nearer to the beginning of this match basically talking about a loss here loser here and the potential ramifications of that.

Basic Result: I know I have indicated this result in some way, but I still have to do the admin; Draw

Background information: after this match; Monsoon and Venture take a look at the recap of elements of this match and then we go back to live footage of this father and son leaving and then we see a picture of a crowd and the wrestling ring with voice over from both commentators talking about what has just taken place and previous event on this pay-per-view as it relates to Bundy and then back onto this previous match/match slot.

If this was a live event on TV it feels like they took a break here and then came back with Monsoon sending us to Hayes [where even before Monsoon has finished handing it over to him; you can clearly hear him starting this segment; but speculation someone must have told him not yet, because he starts again.] Can someone please stop hanging Hayes out to dry here, I am not even getting on his back but clearly see he is really uncomfortable with all of this as he is still reading this off autocue or cue cards or something to that effect where previously; "Luscious" Johnny Valiant with Beefcake walking across into the shot and telling Hayes "Hey wake up will you."  this time we have "Mouth of The South" Jimmy Hart with the Intercontinental Champion Valentine doing basically the same thing but with one difference as he walks across into the shot he laughs fairly close to Hayes's face [on the right-hand side] as they walk down and to the ring [but this could be all speculation again as Hart is being in kayfabe and he does clap as to build up his guy Valentine] but then again with Hayes having this look on his face or more specifically in his eyes to go " I wish they would stop doing that." As he carries on but gets cut off by these pre-recorded comments he is trying to introduce with Okerlund, Hart, Valentine and Dog involved in the next match/match slot.

We go back to Monsoon with World Wrestling Federation insert name vs insert name with Inter-Continental heavyweight Championship Monsoon hands things over to Finkle so he can do his thing; Dog's entrance music hits with coming out with Dog meeting up with police escort/security role and I don't know about the other personal he could be police or security or other, he just isn't in uniform of what I can see Dog is being treated like a rock star as he is walking down to the ring as the crowd goes wild. .

Review Time

Warning/Disclaimer: there is torture/burning/medical/terrorism/stabbing. Now I just want to cover my back; yes this is my review, but however the things I will be discussing are simply based on what is in this film, so if it wasn't in this film to begin with I wouldn't be discussing it.

Storyline/Character [Character developments,] Action, Performances and Art: in one way or another these components combined; we meet the Wistin family Neil Wistin [Sean Bean,] Ellen Wistin [Ellen Wistin] and their Son Shane Wistin [Maxwell Haynes;] as all three of them have three individual secrets. Shane's secret is doing right by a recently deceased family member, but for is father and mother their secrets are dark; in fact Neil's secret end up in our home Imir Shawe [Patrick Sabongui;] ready to blow this family apart on some level.

The pacing is slow, drifts along and uncomfortable watching  [as I will discuss in the next paragraph,] but for here and now we have a mixture of place names, time or dates and we have news report [we don't see it we just hear it] of what may or may not happen next, it may as well be may not have because we never find out as this film finishes.

This film has a transparent view of this is what America is like and it is okay for them to do it but no one else, be it another school shooting [we see the aftermath of police/security, flowers and so on to imply a shooting had taken place] or when Ellen has an accidental baseball ball hit her windscreen as she goes past a baseball field obviously stops the car, her shock quickly turning into anger and chases after them, but is unsuccessful on catching them. But it is acceptable for Neil and the people he works for to do essentially the same thing but with extreme force with deadly results, so as you can see/read I understood this metaphor.

The performances are what you expect their character types to be yes likewise these conversations get slowly more and more uncomfortable. Now before I continue I want to make this known I like Sean Bean, but his American accent in this film could do with some work, you will know what I mean when you hear it; it's like " Oh no, just no." It just doesn't sound natural and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

The only small pieces of this film I liked were the art on the clouds and sky's these also stick out like a sore thumb but in eye-catching and positive sense.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; as I have already made it abundantly clear this film has a structure and purpose to it which the more I think about it is slowly irritating me more and more, because on reflection if you are going to produce/come out with a film like this have enough grapefruits to give it a resolution/conclusion instead of having this father and son doing this activity with this news report without giving too much away and this is just an excerpt but also the final words of this film  "Our nation vulnerable." Which this entire monologue minus a small piece about him being a patriot, in a very dark light in fact once again it highlights again that if the United States of America can do these activities without getting caught in any way shape or form that it is okay, but if you don't keep your mouth shut your branded a patriot or a traitor. The person I watched this film with had this to say "If you want to put this film on, on a Sunday afternoon and fall asleep and wake up again you won't miss much."

But the strange thing is this film has some Awards credited to its name; Won 2 for an example; Leo Awards 2018; Leo; Best Picture Editing in a Motion Picture Asim Nuraney and 7 Nominations for an example [same award event/ceremony] Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Motion Picture Maxwell Haynes.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 108: Teela's Triumph by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there flashing effects/other effects/transformation/animal cruelty

The Sorceress/Zoar the Falcon: Storyline, Action, Art and Character [ Character developments:]  these components combined in one way or another; Skeletor gives a demonstration of his new invention/weapon to  Evil-Lyn and Trap Jaw standing inside the mouth of the head of Snake Mountain [I really do find Snake Mountain to be legendary and iconic location, because of the level of high creativity and imagination on the outside or inside any of it; it is captivating by its smallest but highly detailed in a nutshell it is like a snake has been turned into stone for its punishment doom to spend the rest of its days without being able to move or feel and yes I feel the same about Castle Grayskull as well as it relates to its legendary and iconic status, but also completely different as it should be, because they have the right to stand on their own as two legendary and iconic landscapes, but also their equal as well.] But I digress by shooting this Falcon which makes it vanish and reappear in this new world of many volcanoes. Yes I have no idea how Skeletor doesn't know this is The Sorceress/Zoar the Falcon and finally I have been meaning to bring this up at some point in this TV program like Prince Adam/He-Man and Cringe/Battle Cat; The Sorceress has an alternative alias/transformation Zoar the Falcon, generally speaking she uses this form/alias to leave Castle Grayskull and go around Eternia [or just before someone points it out; any time she sees fit to use it.]

This episode receives: 8/10: this episode is excellent; but there is only one big negative thing and I have to be a little bit cryptic here, but I don't know how the penny doesn't drop for Teela? [I am aware it has been written this way,] but then again it doesn't exactly make the Captain of the Royal Guard at The Palace of Eternia which that is her job sound all look the most sharpest knife in the drawer does it now.

Deadpool 2 2018 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/suicide/child-abuse/torture/drugs/decapitation/regenerating/bodily functions/shooting/stabbing/breaking/electrocution

Storyline/Character [Character developments,] Performances, Action, Comedy and Art: these components all combine in one way or another; Wade Wilson/Deadpool [Ryan Reynolds] is back. On his travels he comes across Dopinder [Karan Soni,] Al [Leslie Uggams,] the X-Men Piotr "Peter" Nikolayevich Rasputin/Colossus [Stefan Kapicic voice,] Ellie Phimister/Negasonic Teenage Warhead [Brianna Hildebrand] and her partner Yukio [Shioli Kutsuna,] Russell Collins/Firefist [Julian Dennison,] Cable [Josh Brolin,] Domino [Zazie Beetz] and Cain Marko/Juggernaut [voiced by Ryan Reynolds.] Then after all of that he gets to spend these peaceful, priceless and precious moments in bracing his fiancee Vanessa [Morena Baccarin] before he goes back to work and for a friendly heads up there are two ending scene or sequence.

The pacing is similar to the previous film title where we have Wilson/Deadpool[Ryan Reynolds] breaking the-fourth-wall, narration and doing this catch up thing, but in this instalment it feels like they compact it to put more variety; Buck: "You know what "fine" stands for, Wade? ****** up, insecure, needy, and emotional. According to the..." [pause] Wilson: "Kübler-Ross. Buck:"According to the Kübler-Ross model, denial is just one of the five stages of grief." Wilson: "Jesus Christ, Buck! No more speaking lines for you." Or Wilson look behind you and you will see them or dubstep [when this gets referenced most of the time] this song track kicks in or Wade/Deadpool point something out before it happens or Cable rewinds things. So as you can read there is plenty of movement here including the enthusiastic nature of this sequel moving in this film anyway.

The general character developments; they have been either been developed given more depth, the newbies slot in perfectly and lesbian character developments; you know it is 2018 when this sequel was released and it is progressive, I just wish other projects used this kind of approach; you know okay you are of the same sex or politely whatever moving on as it should be in 2018 or 2021. Performances; they slotted back into where they picked up their on-screen chemistry including the newcomers they just got into this sequel and bring themselves to the table.

Wilson and Collins or Wilson mutant vs. Cable; we have these two doing combat over Collins; they are literally bringing down the house, well to be more precise this mutant detention centre known as the Ice Box; where on apprehending these mutants they have these highly sophisticated collars named Power-dampening collar and it does exactly what it says; it suppresses the mutant gene. Cable breaks in to this location with this very not subtle approach with the intent to complete his mission, but after looking up the cell number of his target; he fails because he wasn't there; there is enough background information.

So we have in this sequence lots being said like comic book references either Marvel/MCU or DC/the DCEU or the Worlds of DC or whatever they want to call it nowadays, but in this film you are looking for the reference "DC Universe" and Wilson takes a very painful looking landing to run interference from high up so Cable can't get a shot off to hit his target [maybe Wilson should have considered a career in the NFL as a defensive player instead of joining the special forces.]

We even have a James Bond style opening to this film complete with a James Bond worthy Soundtrack; Ashes by Céline Dion. But this opening has a Wilson/Deadpool interpretation this is highly imaginative and a treat for the eyes, likewise the same can be said for anything to do with the crossing between two worlds [the living and the not.]

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; this sequel is just another exciting period in the life of Wade/Deadpool, so the only problem I see now for Wade/Deadpool is if Disney choose to sanitise him which this is speculation on my part but valid point nonetheless; but this is not a character that you can tone down in the slightest or the surrounding universe they have built for him. Or they could do a running joke in the next instalment by having a counter at the bottom of the screen of how many times they bleep and when they reach 100 adult words [Wade/Deadpool gets fed up with the bleeper,] they could stop whatever they are doing and perform a musical number entitled "We give zero ***** about The House of Mouse!" Involving the entire cast in this musical number and then go back to the point in the film, but because of this musical number they have broken the bleeper so we go back to how a Wade/Deadpool film should be in all its glory. Finally this film has Awards credited to its name Won 6; for an example; Golden Schmoes Awards 2018; Golden Schmoes; Best Comedy Film. 52 Nominations; for an example American Cinema Editors, USA 2019; Eddie; Best Edited Feature Film - Comedy Craig Alpert Elísabet Ronaldsdóttir Dirk Westervelt.

DC's Batwoman [Season 3,] Episode 42: Antifreeze by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there is flashing/other effects/medical/breaking

Beth Kane/Alice; “I got it. Its the Bee Gees of course it is them.": Storyline, Characters [Character developments,] Comedy and Action these combined in one way or another; Beth Kane/Alice works out who are behind this; [where she says the dialogue I have named this section after/where she gets off this medical bed in Dr Hamilton's clinic after doing some research on this stolen mobile which belonged to Moore's younger sister Jordan.] Where Moore: "Did you take my sisters phone?" Beth Kane/Alice:" Oh. Yeah. Mu. You're welcome." [More takes the mobile from Beth Kane/Alice] with Dr Hamilton:" For critiquing her taste in music?" Beth Kane/Alice: [looking happy and confident with the body language and mannerisms to match throughout the rest of this scene] "No for solving all your little mysteries. Who kidnapped Jordan, who's experimenting with the freeze for my formula. Same answer [which she says the next bit in a quieter drammatical tone looking at Moore] The Black Glove Society. [As to imply this organisation are a massive deal and should be respected and/or feared; but all she gets from Moore and Dr Hamilton is absolutely nothing but silence.] So Beth Kane/Alice tries again with facial expressions and mannerisms including a hand every time she says something like their acronym " The BGS" or "The Bee Gees" [Moore looks at Dr Hamilton; standing next to Beth Kane/Alice with a frozen Jordan on a medical table to imply; "I don't have a clue who or what she is talking about do you?" With this picture of absolute frustration on Beth Kane/Alice's face to imply you should know who this organisation are based on the grounds you used to working for The Crows?!.] Beth Kane/Alice [mentally/body language "Okay I give up." and puts her hand down and starts telling them about The Black Glove Society [there is more to this scene; but I have discussed it enough.]

Briefly sometime later; we get Beth Kane/Alice and Moore vs. Members of The Black Glove Society [including not leader of this organisation but must have been someone reliable to fulfil this contract and cleanup operation; Virgil Getty.]

This episode receives: 5/10, this episode is mixed; I know I have made this a repetitive thing over these Three Seasons in some capacity [including her stepbrother; Jonathan "Johnny" Cartwright/Mouse when he was a part of this TV program in some way in Seasons 1 and 2,] but once again Beth Kane/Alice continues to be the glowing positive of this TV program by absolutely unlimited miles.

Deadpool 2016 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/medical/transformation/disfigurement/decapitation/impaling/stabbing/cutting/beheading/shooting/torture/regenerating/vomiting

Storyline/Character [Character developments,] Comedy, Action, Art and Performances: these components all combine in one way or another; this is an origin storyline how Wade Wilson [Ryan Reynolds] ex-special forces went from picking up little contracts from the Bar Sister Margaret's, paying for a woman's time and skills Vanessa [Morena Baccarin] a having messed up [as these two individually have messed up backgrounds and life experiences,] but have a passionate relationship with her and get engaged everything was going smoothly until being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Wilson gets given this opportunity by  Recruiter [Jed Rees] as he works for this organisation in recruitment that can cure Wilson's cancer and give him superhero abilities after originally declining Wilson reconsiders and Wilson/Deadpool [Ryan Reynolds] is born and for a friendly heads up there is an after credit scene.

The pacing is lively and informative; Wilson/Deadpool breaks-the-fourth-wall or narration or black and white sign that says 2 years ago... [all in capitals] or Wilson/Deadpool take care of the camera lens as he accidentally flicks old chewing gum onto it which he finds in the back of this cab driven by Dopinder [Karan Soni] or sharing this dialogue exchange with Recruiter that basically things are not going to end well for him; with Wilson/Deadpool breaking-the-fourth-wall" you might wana look away for this" [with Wilson/Deadpool kneeling down in front of Recruiter sitting up against this car looking down the camera as well with absolute fear in his face as Wilson goes to the lower but opposite side to the camera to move the camera away so we don't see what he does to Recruiter, but we can still hear it and the pedestrians in this new camera shot imply something graphic is/has happened here with their reactions or fast forwarding this film because we have already seen it including stopping it at a bit we were not meant to see.

There is this running thing between Francis Freeman/Ajax [Ed Skrein] it revolves around his first name of Francis, he punishes Wilson/Deadpool for saying it or baits Wilson/Deadpool to say it with "What's my name? or in this case  Freeman/Ajax is standing high up on one of those shipping containers; [the backdrop to this location is possibly a scrapping/shipping yard.]he shouts out " Wade Wilson! [To get Wilson/Deadpool attention to go up] What's my name?" Wilson/Deadpool replies in talking volume of voice "Oh, I'mma ******' spell it out to ya." So this is what he sets out to whilst taking care of business he uses the Workshop's security which are either at minimum incapacitated or at worst dead to spell out Frances. [Freeman/Ajax; looking down from a birds eye perspective with this question to his hostage Vanessa and more security "Does he write you notes as well? He's such a romantic.]

Neil Buchanan; the artist/TV presenter of the UK TV program Art Attack 1990-2007, would be so proud of this because he used to do these massive pictures all from a birds eye perspective, piece by piece and watch it unfold until its conclusion.] I should just point out that it isn't just Wilson/Deadpool in this sequence of events; you see he doesn't come along X-Men; Piotr "Peter" Nikolayevich Rasputin/Colossus [Stefan Kapicic voice] which takes on Christine alias Christine Dust/Angel Dust; right hand person to Freeman/Ajax and the Workshop [Gina Carano,] but it takes one punch from her to floor him with distance the first time around so Wilson/Deadpool essentially puts in Ellie Phimister/Negasonic Teenage Warhead [Brianna Hildebrand] to bat but then Colossus and Angel Dust do combat.

Performances; they all bring something to the table, there on-screen chemistry is fluent and it is easy to understand and settle down with their dynamics; such as Wilson/Deadpool [Ryan Reynolds] and Al [Leslie Uggams;] they are housemaids, she is blind and she is hardly innocent as she makes reference to when she is doing her lingerie in a laundromat " God I miss cocaine."So as you can read these two individually or together have either experienced a lot in life so they know who they are and they are comfortable around one another to say.

This film receives:10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; well when you have Ryan Reynolds who completely embodies Wade Wilson/Deadpool [let's forget X-Men: origins Wolverine 2019;] it is/was no surprise to me that this film title turned out to receive many Awards credit to its name. Winning 28; for two examples; Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 2017; Saturn Award; Ryan Reynolds. All Def Movie Awards 2017; All Def Movie Award; Best Superhero Token Sidekick; Leslie Uggams. 78 Nominations for two examples; Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 2017; Saturn Award; Best Writing;Rhett Reese Paul Wernick. Gold Derby Awards 2017; Golden Schmoes Awards 2016; Gold Derby Awards 2017; Gold Derby Award; Makeup/Hair; Bill Corso Anne Carro.

DC's Batwoman [Season 3,] Episode 41: Freeze by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there is flashing/other effects/medical

Beth Kane/Alice seems to be under the weather: Storyline, Character [Character developments,] Comedy and Action; these components combined at one point or another; because of what Fox/Batwing injected her with Nanobots to tracker wherever she goes;  Beth Kane/Alice is now playing with comical portrayal of ill.

She even takes a hostage [Nora Fries; the wife of the now dead Dr Victor Fries/Mr Freeze]  which basically she threatens to kill her with a surgical scalpel knife to her neck if her stepsister Dr Hamilton doesn't help her, but maybe Beth Kane/Alice should have chosen a better hostage to use as a bargaining chip as you will soon read; yes I understand the serious nature of what is coming up next, but however there is a dark comical tone in it as well Mrs Fries says [with a small grin appearing on her face momentarily with these words slowly but with meaning/conviction coming out of her mouth "Let her with" [with Dr Hamilton and Beth Kane/Alice looking at her and saying " What?" With Mrs Fries having her moment in the spotlight and actually her making a choice in her life with "I am so sick of people sacrificing their lives for me... my husband and my sister, the research, the lost years, the desperation, for what? So I could be trapped again?" Beth Kane/Alice:" So you want me to kill you? With [Mrs Freeze nodding and smiling in agreement] with Beth Kane/Alice continuing: "Could you be a worse hostage." [ With Beth Kane/Alice having the facial expressions and mannerisms to  indicate firstly a sprinkling of a middle range teenager attitude throughout; anoints at Mrs Freeze and then secondly "Well that didn't work" and finally  putting surgical scalpel knife down on the side.] There is a little bit more to this scene/sequence, but I have put enough in this review.

This episode receives: 10/10, this episode is lots of fun; don't get me wrong it doesn't have the best beginning, but it does get better and better the more you watch of it.

The Matrix Revolutions 2003 by AverageMansReviews

The Matrix Revolutions 2003 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/self harming/stabbing/shooting/breaking/beheading/transformation/medical/disfigurement/impaling

Storyline/Character [Character developments,] Action, Art, Comedy and Performances: well everything must come to an end or so we thought until The Matrix Resurrections 2021. But for here and now as this film continues from where The Matrix Reloaded 2003 Link https://averagemansreviews2017.blogspot.com/2021/12/the-matrix-reloaded-2003-by.html had finished where everything is building up towards potentially the fall of Zion, but as long as Mr Anderson/Neo [Keanu Reeves] is still breathing this will not come to pass. The pacing for this 129 minutes film is fundamentally sound it just keeps smoothly moving. There is two excellent twists on the character developments side of things, but I will be a little bit vague for one example; it was excellent to find out that these two characters were related [they make reference to this in one scene so you will have to pay attention when it comes up.]

We have Morpheus [Laurence Fishburne,] Seraph [Collin Chou] and Trinity] Carrie-Anne Moss going up in this elevator after dealing with some of these security/henchman to get into The Frenchman a.k.a. Merovingian [Lambert Wilson] club on reaching their floor the door opens and this waitress begins her usual speel on welcoming guests to this club she very quickly realises that something is going to go down here, but before she can finish off what she is saying Seraph does the gentleman thing by quickly grabbing her by the arm and pulling/putting her in the elevator as he Morpheus and Trinity step through; with the carnage beginning with these three characters stepping out of the elevator [elevator doors close] and then this sequence kicks off; with this non-stop carnage everywhere including this sprinkling of comedy at the end as Trinity tilts her head to the left with her black shades on a cold look to possibly indicate " I'm bored now" and then she performs her legendary jumping pause crane kick which because he is standing on the ceiling he goes flying backwards to create this massive crevice and after this very tiny time he just slides out of this massive crevice to hit the floor with our three characters carrying on into the next scene of this sequence; this is one of the best sequences which this third instalment has to offer for its all-around imagination and energetic nature.

Performances; likewise from the previous two instalments; this is a cast performance regardless of the size of the role from Agent Smith/Smith [Hugo Weaving] to Sati [Tanveer K. Atwal] these are all good.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; this as things stand is a solid end to this trilogy, but now we have a new instalment coming out soon, As I have already made reference to in this review already. But I am hoping this film spends a very short time like 15 minutes or you know something like this timeframe just filling this ending out a bit; like after what happened ... I am sure they will do something like this anyway, but as I haven't seen the film yet or at this point when this review gets released not many people have, but I digress; I should just point out the person I watched this film is gave this film 9/10. I am just putting this here for fairness and balance.

Yes this project has Award credited to its name and not all of these Awards are positive, I should remind you some of these Awards are credited to the previous film title as well, the only reason I could give you for this is because they came out in the same year. So it has Won 5 Awards; for two examples; BMI Film & TV Awards 2004; BMI Film Music Award; Don Davis and NRJ Ciné Awards 2004 NRJ Ciné Award Most Glamorous Actress (Actrice la plus glamour) Monica Bellucci.

36 Nominations for two example; Image Awards [NAACP] 2004; Image Award;  Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture Laurence Fishburne [at the same Awards] Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Nona Gaye. Now on to the negative Awards for two examples; Nominated; The Stinkers Bad Movie Awards 2003; Stinker Award; Worst Screenplay for a Film Grossing More than $100 Million Using Hollywood Math Lilly Wachowski Lana Wachowski For The Matrix Reloaded [ likewise at the same Awards] Worst Sequel For The Matrix Reloaded.

Match/Stipulation: "The Maniac" Matt Borne vs. Ricky Steamboat: Singles Match

Match Attributes:

Match Quality: 7/10

Match Storyline: 7/10

Crowd Participation: 6/10

On Commentary: Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse "The Body” Venture 7/10

Satisfying Conclusion: 7/10

Recommend Watch: 7/10

Match Total: 41/60 - this match is good.

Comments: this is another solidly good match. The crowd are still there for this match, but generally speaking, it does feel like they have taken this time to have a rest, but Let's be positive as I have already said they are still here for this match. Blooper; Steamboat performs this top turnbuckle high cross body, but Venture calls it a "Flying tackle à la Jimmy."

Basic Result: I know I have slightly indicated who goes over here but; admin is admin. Ricky Steamboat picks up the W.

Background information: after this match; Monsoon and Venture taking a look and discussing the replay; Monsoon sends it back to Finkel to get the official word and then Monsoon hands things to Hayes and he still looks like; he is reading things off an autocue or something like that, this is where I should point out performers or on-screen characters have been walking behind him, well that was until now. "Luscious" Johnny Valiant manager of Beefcake with both of them heading down to the ring. Speculation on my part but however I can easily back it up with fact and yes I know these two individuals are Heels. But when you come to watch this; you will get to see and feel that this isn't kayfabe here. As Hayes is talking about this match and you see this shadow of Valiant getting more and more noticeable on Hayes' clothing; Valiant walks deliberately in passing into the camera shot with Beefcake and clearly says full disclosure the ending of this comment is potentially speculation as he and Beefcake were passing through on their way to the ring and he was still talking; "Hey wake up will you." In the direction of Hayes, but I have to say that he isn't wrong, Hayes whenever we get sent to him; he seems to be very robotlike reading these things on cue cards or autocue or whatever.

But Hayes just continues to amble along with that he sends it back to Okerlund with these pre-recorded comments building up the next match, which would be David Sammartino [with real life his father Bruno Sammartino] vs. Brutus Beefcake [with "Luscious" Johnny Valiant.]

We go to Finkel he is doing his thing; I am just noticed as these are pre-recorded promos everyone has changed their clothing or ring attire as far as I can tell anyway, as we have Bruno and David jogging to the ring which the crowd giving a standing ovation so says Monsoon on commentary; Monsoon and Venture briefly discuss this father and son and then move on to talk about possibility of Valiant and Beefcake being father and son as well over this conversation [This is just an excerpt: Monsoon: "I doubt that very much." we also have this World Wrestling Federation insert name here vs. insert name here and then they move on to talk about the crowd and this pay-per-view and main event.

Maggie Simpson in "The Force Awakens From Its Nap" 2021 [alternative name The Force Awakens from Its Nap] by AverageMansReviews

Maggie Simpson in "The Force Awakens From Its Nap" 2021 [alternative name The Force Awakens from Its Nap] by AverageMansReviews

Warning: there is colourful effects/stabbing

Storyline/Character [Character developments,] Sound effect performances, Art, Action Comedy: all these components combined in one way or another; now because this project roughly goes on for 3 minutes; here is a nutshell we meet The Simpsons [Marge and her youngest daughter Maggie] as she is driving her to firstly "The AYN RAND SCHOOL FOR TOTS" which Maggie declines this by shaking her head and making pacifier sound effects which her mum subtly looking in her direction without moving ahead likewise subtly gives the facial expressions of to imply "You don't want to go here so let's try further down the road." So they go on a little bit further down the road to "JABBA'S HUTT JEDI PRESCHOOL"[ Both of these names for these preschools are on house to buy or let type of design with a engraving of Jabba the Hutt or a member of this family being surrounded by children with this name engraved on wooden sign including wooden stake which this sign is on;] where it has two doors; the first one Sky Walkers [in blue text, black background with a blue thin border which in turn gives it a black thin border as well] or alternatively you have the choice of this other door with the words Sky Toddles [in yellow text and in the same design/outlay.] Marge takes this door with carrying Maggie as she normally does as they/we enter this building. I don't have too much to say about the pacing, simply because as I have already made reference to this project is roughly 3 minutes long, so all I can say is; it moves smoothly and fluently as something is always happening in this project.

Sound effects performances [I have been trying to find out who made the sound effects to put their name here, but I couldn’t find anyone] and art; because most of us now have grown up with this family known as The Simpsons; they make everything welcoming and easy to settle down and everything through their usual impeccable standard has been achieved here also.

On walking in to this place Marge, Maggie, these other Sky Walkers and we are watching this demonstration by Master Obi-Wan Kenobi [the younger Ewan McGregor version, but looking older and worn with a hair net on] using his Lightsaber and The Force combined at a point throughout this scene/sequence to make these many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

This film receives: 10/10, this is top-notch entertainment; this project has lots to offer and this one-on-one action sequence which I will not tell you about, but it is definitely a must see sequence or to be fair for a very short project I'm sure you can spare roughly 3 minutes to watch this project in its entirety and when this review was being dictated; it has 2 Nominations to its name; Primetime Emmy Awards 2021; Primetime Emmy; Outstanding Short Form Animated Program;

Disney+ and Online Film & Television Association 2021; OFTA Television Award Best Animated Program, which it should win at least an Award when everything is said and done, as you can see by my marking it would be a massive shame if this short didn't win a positive award.

Eternals 2021 by AverageMansReviews

Eternals 2021 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/stabbing/cutting/transformation/suicide

Storyline/Character [Character developments,] Art, Action Comedy and Performances: all these components combined in one way or another; now unfortunately straight off the bat this film title has a problem it uses words coming up the screen without voice over so it could potentially put your viewing audience which have reading or learning difficulties such as being dyslexic as I am; on the back foot if they don't have someone to read most of it to them which I did [so this was not a great start.] We begin in outer space watching the Eternals' ship [The Domo] going past our Sun heading to Earth; their leader is Ajak [Salma Hayek] chosen by Arishem [voiced by David Kaye] to exterminate this species known as  Deviants; the returning Deviants their leader is Kro [voiced by Bill Skarsgård.]

This would be the first time where the viewers get informed on screen where we are so in this case it would be 5000 BC Mesopotamia [all in capitals.] We move on to a colossal problem and that would be the movement of this film, meaning; this project uses the method/format of going backward and forward in time for a good chunk of this film and because it has been done to a very poor standard; it just feels too lose, very sloppy, consequently on one end it is catastrophically detrimental to this project in its entirety. Don't get me wrong I get its purpose and that is to develop the character developments, so because of this; it can feel like a mixture between where are we? Or too much information, if there are watchers of the Marvel's Inhumans live-action TV program 2017 at the beginning of this film you get the feeling of déjà vu here with their appearance/battle costumes [when they make themselves known in 5000 BC Mesopotamia] and characteristics, on-screen chemistry, but in fairness and balance this quickly wears off; if you get the same feeling of déjà vu, in hindsight this is just based on first impressions and not forgetting this project is not a short project either; it roughly goes on for 157 minutes; in short basically likewise if there are any fans of DC's Arrow live-action TV program 2012-2020 out there in Internet land? You know or have experienced how things should be done by using this method/format to a standard bearer of the most highest quality. But luckily when this project stops using this method and just works in the present and allows things to settle down; it does have movement and momentum going forward with at one point discussing/showing some what I can only describe as mind blowing character developments and I can't say much more than that, because that would be giving too much of the film away and one final thing about the storyline this is just a friendly heads up; there are two ending credit scenes.

Now minus my little criticism of my first impressions of the art in this project including the appearance/battle costumes this project is a treat for the eyes as there is so much to visually see as it shows an masterful representation of the Eternals and others way of life and purpose.

Moving on we have Sersi [Gemma Chan] changing this quickly falling upside down vehicle before it hits Ikaris [Richard Madden] which he very quickly moved out of the way anyway into possibly thousands upon thousands of little red bits of paper where this vehicle driver emerges from underneath with Sirsi apologising to him or Kingo [Kumail Nanjiani] trying to shoot content for his documentary about the Eternals as he is an Eternal, but in his alter ego he is a famous Bollywood film star throughout many upon many lifetimes under different names as at one point in this film he will show the dynastie he has built throughout his family tree that it is just different versions of him. He has this very loyal right-hand man Karun [Harish Patel] which he is the one trying to get the footage even when things get messy  Kingo between a Deviant; Kingo asks in short if he got the footage which Karun [not on-screen] says I've got it.

The performances; they are generally speaking good; the more you get away from the beginning of the film, apologies for repeating myself but when this film moves forward and doesn't do these back and forth sequences and then as I have already said allows this film to settle down and then it can start building on a positive foundation to work from, not only in this film but I am also looking at the bigger picture of projects in the future.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; but of what I know about the MCU which full disclosure I didn't know anything about these characters or this project and I have not watched many of the recent MCU projects, I mean the latest Marvel title but not in the MCU I have watched is The New Mutants 2020 Link https://averagemansreviews2017.blogspot.com/2021/01/the-new-mutants-2020-by.html if you're interested. But I digress after the passing of the Godfather of Marvel Stan Lee on 12/11/2018, it just didn't feel right or comfortable, don't get me wrong I didn't know him personally, but it was always wonderful to see him on screen in any capacity be it animated or cameo and not forgetting we have this ongoing global pandemic on top of that as well, so hence why I am a bit out of the loop at the moment.

When this review was first dictated this film has been nominated for 4 Awards; for an example; The Queerties 2021; Nominee Queerty; Next Big Thing. Which I can see why because whatever the next project the Eternals are going to be involved in; they could/can bring a lot to the table, but only if they really built on this project and my mark of this review, because without giving myself a big head; this mark would suggest this film is good and it sits down the background work, but hopefully in the next film and they have really moved things on and developed things, so hopefully in this sequel or connecting project I can give a higher mark, because these characters and film titles could be lots of fun.
