What are we going with here?: So clearly I have many questions so let's begin: so are we going with a Babyface, Tweener or Heel? Because even so early on from the outset at one point or another we can say all three are applicable, but the transition between one another is jarring and considering who I am talking about here Dwayne "The Rock"/"The Final Boss" Johnson has one of the best promos/mic workers ever in wrestling when he puts in less or has issues on the microphone it is highly noticeable and with that being said we are now getting a fourth personality which Johnson has to deal with also now and for let's call him Business Johnson which this does include anything to do with WWE [which we also got here when he made the announcement for New Orleans: is the place that will be hosting WrestleMania 2026/42 or/and his projects outside of the WWE, which we also got here: Moana 2 2024 crossing the $1 Billion mark.]

So as you can probably tell I found this entire segment to be quite messy and I will even go one more step to say that I have no proof of this, but if someone was to tell me with evidence that this was a very last-minute segment, I wouldn't have any problems believing that, because roughly speaking this segment was 26 minutes long and boy howdy apart from speeding up their entrances, I found this quite boring.

The uncomfortable truth is the fact that the WWE had done this to themselves from the perspective of on the debut of Raw on Netflix Monday 06/01/2025 Johnson essentially buried the hatchet with Cody Rhodes so the story ends or so we thought maybe? [I have to be honest I don't care about this.] But moving on to Friday 21/02/2025 on SmackDown, we have this re-opening/continuation development storyline.

A mixture of someone that watches many films, TV programs and has equally been around wrestling long enough; the WWE are essentially asking their fan base to get re-engaged with a storyline that originally opens the gates again to a controversial situation where instead of getting something that some of us wanted to see Rock vs. Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship we got what we got instead [yes Johnson made reference to this on SmackDown as well.]

The reason why I made reference to watching many films and TV programmes is because; in my opinion this is going to be an extremely tough ask for broadly speaking anyone to get engaged with; be it in a storyline capacity for simultaneously a character development capacity because the whole situation has gone cold and as I have already referenced there may be some people out there already that I like myself that are not interested in this whatsoever.

I mean they could have left the door open to revisit this storyline, but because of what happened on Raw, they really well and truly shish kebab the bed on this one. So consequently in more recent times as of Friday; when Johnson tells in a nutshell Rhodes I can make all your dreams come true, but I want your soul in return.

For me I am not surprised that this got people talking and criticising it, because without repeating myself because they put a full-stop in this feud just some time ago, it is absolutely no wonder why this development fell as flat as a cow turd, the deliverance by Johnson as it relates to Rhodes' soul was an just terrible; I believe it's intended deliverance was meant to be more of a mixture between "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase [I can offer you lucrative and secure options; just come and work beside me as my Fixit Guy] mixed with Jake "The Snake" Roberts [with the deliverance of the wrestling industry is a hard place and his mind games to match.] But in reality the deliverance came off with a mixture between Fifty Shades of Grey 2015 and Shang Tsung Mortal Kombat II video game 1993/Mortal Kombat film 1995 [I should very quickly point out I am not criticising this video game or film because individually they are both legendary, I am just referencing them for source material] and yes wrestler record someone has already put together a computer sequence where Johnson performs Shang Tsung's Soul Stealer fatality on Rhodes: I know this to be true because I have already seen it: fantastic work who ever made this.

Hypothetically if we get Johnson vs. Champ Rhodes for the Championship at WrestleMania 41/2025, as things are I am very much like; meh, but we will have to wait and see what happens between now and then, but one thing is for sure they will have to go some to get me re-engaged in this feud. But to finish else's content even though I have explored this segment as I have already shown I can see what they were trying to do but because on one thing or another, this is far from a brilliant start to this potential feud/continuation.
