It is time after 36 years to say his name three times for help: basically; Lydia Deetz [Winona Ryder:] she now has her own TV program called the Ghost House, but when her daughter Astrid Deetz [Jenna Ortega:] she is very much like a mother at her age, but for one big difference she doesn't believe in any of what her mother believes in; but don't worry she will do as she gets into trouble. But there is only one man that can help in this situation like these and it is everyone's favourite Demon; Beetlejuice [Michael Keating:] since we had last seen him; he has been making a successful business of scaring, but he has his own problem.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing is somewhat a major letdown; don't get me wrong when this sequel wants to be in a Beetlejuice sequel then it is just that. But I would feel comfortable suggesting for a grand total if I was to add it all together about 35 minutes; it just feels really, really slow and tiresome of this 104 minutes film; which I would really like to add another mark on to this sequel, but I can't because of this aspect.

Art, action and comedy; as you would come to expect on returning; the art is of the most highest graphic quality; so much so I have to be careful on what they put in this content; for an example we have some stop motion animation [in a sequence,] a character putting themselves back together again using something like or it is staples or/and guts and childbirth; I should point out and I am not being arrogant here, but felt like I was the only one laughing in the cinema, but then again I was very loud, the person I watch some of this content with; did say that they enjoyed it as well, if only it wasn't so slow in places.

Character developments and performances; these character developments and likewise new or/and returning characters and performances are spot on; yes even Justin Theroux as Rory; Deetz's boyfriend and producer of her TV program; in hindsight I have chosen to go with the idea that his character developments and consequently performance is a throwback of without giving too much away is someone that has an ulterior motive.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; after everything is said and done, this sequel finds itself in this mark of my marking system, it does Beetlejuice proud after so many years, but maybe next time [I am not saying there will be a next time] I am just saying if there is to be a next time, maybe hit the ground running instead of this; there is an extra bit where you see these characters and their names early on in the ending credits. This film also has some awards accredited to its name; 1 Winner Venice Film Festival 2024 Fanheart3 Award Graffetta d'Oro for Best Film Tim Burton, 2 Nominees The Queerties 2024 Queerty Next Big Thing and Astra Midseason Movie Awards 2024 Astra Midseason Award Most Anticipated Movie
