Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/animal cruelty/drugs/terrorism/torture/shooting/stabbing/impaling/animal biting/suicide/breaking/burning/squashing/medical.

Broadly: Elly Conway/other name [Bryce Dallas Howard:] she is an author of spy series of books by the name of Argylle; she is now working on the fifth instalment of the series, one of her characters in her books is Wyatt [John Cena:] he is a muscle guy/Tech Support, before I move on I will just say I will discuss later on why I have put very little here in this section.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 139 minutes film is... is well and is going to come out and say it; really slow, tiresome and it felt like we were definitely going through the motions, they could have easily cut off 40 minutes to give this film some get up and go. But we do have a turning point and because of this turning point we actually get to see what this film is capable of [this is why I couldn't or I would struggle to keep things out of this storyline section of this content.]

Character developments and performances; before this turning point we get these generic character types and solid performances; I am trying to give these performances a little bit of leeway based on the framework and pacing; they really had to carry things to make this film work to a respectable standard. After the turning point; we get some very much needed not only a get up and go, but also substance and depth to his characters; but I have to be honest even though I appreciated it, I was also frustrated in the fact it took us this long to have these kinds of developments; but on the whole I would still have to say these character developments and performances were solid.

Action/Art/Comedy; yet again before the turning point we have this scene where it starts with Aidan Wilde [Sam Rockwell:] this individual has to keep Conway and her cat Alfie [Chip the Cat:] he is a grey and black cat that is on this journey as well in one of these pet rucksacks and he actually belongs to the Director of this film Matthew Vaughn and Claudia Schiffer [husband-and-wife.] But I digress; Alfie unfortunately gives away their position [underneath the floor boards] where this unit is looking for them, to take care of them, but Wilde jumps up through the floorboards and takes care of business, for those wrestling fans out there; towards the end of this sequence he performed a release german suplex being performed by Wilde; this is good. But after this turning point; we have is 2 action sequences in nearby one another; one involves creating this colourful smokescreen and the other involves these makeshift ice skates; I mean we get a bit of comedy in this film, but it isn't very funny, besides much earlier in the film Wilde basically asking Conway for her assistance to make sure that these individuals are dead she will have to stamp on their skulls; which she isn't too keen on doing. But back to where I was; these two major action sequences have the presentation of being action packed, artistically imaginative and creative sprinkled with a little bit of natural comedy.

This film receives: 4/10, this film is mixed: I mean as I have already referenced in some capacity; this film does feel incredibly long and when it finally gets going it does have some good parts, but in hindsight this film became a chore to watch and there is one extra scene after the first credits.
