Unite Data Group: briefly; this is one of the businesses controlled by
Derek Danforth [Josh Hutchinson:] a individual that is high up in society
thanks to his parents, that runs this internet banking scam. That eventually
one day crosses the wrong person Adam Clay [Jason Statham:] he is a beekeeper a
every day beekeeper, but he is also a retired beekeeper in the sense of this
secret agency that basically redresses the of things, if you have one of these
people coming for you; you are dead.
Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 105 minutes film is
good; it does use one of those action film outlays that I haven't seen used for
some time, but adapted/updated to incorporate sometimes it darker tone and if
you are a fan of those one example action packed films starring Jean-Claude Van
Damme from somewhere around the 1990's where it now and again we have this
blend of action mixed with a bit of comedy; such as in this film [rough
description;] we have our lead character Clay attaching this other character to
this vehicle via this long strap, so when Clay puts this vehicle in drive and
off the bridge this other person goes off connected to it and here is the funny
part the fake body that they use to create this moment looks really fake and
hearing his voice coming from it, I don't know if this was intentional or not,
but let's just go with it.
Character
developments and performances; on both counts they are solidly good versions of
what they are meant to be; but now we have to talk about the two that really
stood out; Jason Statham as Adam Clay; his whole being is; protect the hive and
doing what is necessary, it is an interesting, well thought out and executed concept and then we have Jeremy
Irons as Wallace Westwyld: he is an ex-Director of the CIA, but nowadays has
the unfortunate duty of keeping an eye on Derek, making sure whenever he screws
up fix the problem or problems and keep the Danforth family business going;
Danforth Enterprises.
This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; as you can see/read this film
has positives to it, especially if you are a fan of Jason Statham and/or Jeremy
Irons.
