Warning: there is animal feeding/animal cruelty/decapitation/burning/shooting/medical

Amity Island: basically; we have these three men that are sent out of this town with one mission to kill a killer shark; first up we have APD Chief Martin Brody [Roy Scheider:] a new chief into these parts from the New York, that has brought his family with him into this beach town. Followed by the captain of this vessel ORCA; Captain Quint [Robert Shaw:] he has a $10,000 contract to dispose of this killer shark, this individual has a slightly slightly unsettling aura around him, which isn't too surprising considering he is an ex-Navy person that served on the USS Indianapolis and on a very brief sidenote his back story is based on real-life events and I will put the real-life film review as the last thing in this content USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage 2016. Finally we have the science guy out of this trio Matthew "Matt" Hooper [Richard Dreyfuss:] he is a oceanographer, it works for the Oceangraphical Institute sharks are his passion and within a few moments of him entering the film, it is easy to see that now and again he is going to bring a pinch of comical relief with either a sensible or serious tone, as I am paraphrasing here; APD Chief Brody asks him to inform these people that there are too many people in that vessel, with them not listening Hopper asks them do you know of a good restaurant round here and one of the men shouted back yes you're looking at it [in reference to the waters and fishing] with everyone laughing Hopper turns his back to them and says they are going to die.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 124 minutes film is good, mainly thanks to the work of the art in one way or another; John Williams composer/conductor "Jaws – Main Title" he does so much to give this great white shark defined personality and in conjunction with the physical presentation of this feeding machine; which is of identical impeccable standard [I will make reference to the framework and pacing later on in this content,] you see most of these action sequences until the later stages are built upon the thriller outlay, so it builds things up until it is time to strike or his victims are just about lucky enough to get away and even when we are seeing the devastation we don't see too much [ when I say we don't see too much,] I mean compared to what we witness much later on, it still uses the thriller presentation in the carnage; likewise the art in these action sequences throughout this film really do have a faultless execution; for an example later on we get to see how this great white shark tries to take care of business, we have Hopper in this shark cage and things don't exactly go according to plan as this great white shark eventually breaks in.

Character developments and performances; in a nutshell to begin with the character developments and performances of this cast are all good, but the trio of characters and performers I have already mentioned in this content, as you can already tell by their opening paragraph, there is a lot to work with here, build chemistry and be the driving force behind this film, I mean whilst this film is a little bit quiet to begin with whenever they are on-screen in any either individual or combination they can keep things progressing and engageable until the scratching of the blackboard by Captain Quint scene and then it naturally just click through the gears.

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; this is one of those films that you need to see once in a lifetime, as the artistry as I have already referenced in one way or another it off the most highest quality and because of this, yes this film was released in 1975 but it hasn't really aged and for the rest and say this film is based in the 1970's. This film also has awards accredited to its name 15 Winners that includes Academy Awards, USA 1976 Oscars  Best Sound Robert L. Hoyt Roger Heman Jr.Earl Madery John R. Carter, Best Film Editing Verna Fields and Best Music, Original Dramatic Score John Williams. 20 Nominees that includes from the same award ceremony/event Best Picture Richard D. Zanuck David Brown. USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage 2016 Link https://averagemansreviews2017.blogspot.com/2020/11/uss-indianapolis-men-of-courage-2016-by.html
