Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/burning/animal waste/animal cruelty/breaking/vehicles crash/references to racial and sexuality

The 16th Precinct needs younger reinforcements: in a nutshell; Captain Pete Lassard [Howard Hesseman:] he calls upon his brother Commandant Lassard Eric Lassard [George Gaynes:] he is the top guy at the Police Academy, he is the older brother which for most of the time he is mentally sound, but there are some occasions where his mind gets things wrong so he comes off as senile; he helps out his younger brother by sending him some familiar faces such as Officer Laverne Hooks [Marion Ramsey:] she happens to be the shortest at this point and quietest of the recently graduated from the Police Academy [from the previous film] and often receives mocking from senior officers for quietness, but don't let her shortness or/and quietness fool you; when it is time she is like a panther; ready to make herself heard or ready for action. Their job is to take down this heinous group known as The Scullions led by Zed McGlunk [Bob Goldthwait/Bobcat Goldthwait:] this group leader comes off as a slight loony, but this is speculation at one point could have been a nice guy, but maybe got fed up with people not giving him the time of day because of his very distinctive voice [just to cover my back I know in a later film he makes reference to his voice. I was just thinking I would as I have already said to cover my back, so it isn't so much as speculation/opinion mixed with knowledge of this franchise.] On top of that we have a new foiler in Lieutenant Ernie Mauser [Art Metrano:] he is also a Watch Commander for this precinct and not forgetting he is a suck up and will do anything to get ahead in his career, so if Captain Pete Lassard fails to clear up his precinct within a certain amount of t time Lieutenant Mauser will receive a promotion and take over this precinct, Lieutenant Mauser also has a sidekick/a position of a servant Sargeant Carl Proctor [Lance Kinsey:] he is a dimwit and if between them they are successful; he will take over as Watch Commander

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 87 minutes film is good; you know as you can probably guess because this film is only 87 minutes long, it doesn't have time to mess around so the storyline and progression of that storyline is nice and simple yet effective; we have an instalment of this franchise to tell so let's just get on with it; that approach to things.

Action/Comedy; briefly; we have this robbery going down at Sweetchuck's Store Robbery and basically we have too many good willed Police Officers descending on this location and there is not any communication so these selection of characters lay waste and contents of the shop [Sweetchuck's; owned by Carl Sweetchuck [Tim Kazurinsky:] a short individual that comes across as very straightlaced and has no backbone  running into thousands upon thousands

later on; my favourite action sequence; briefly Officer Larvell Jones coming across these two individuals intimidating his greengrocer; so he performs this running jump over this grid fence; he debuts in your character which can be signified by this Asian bandanna and this incredibly old martial arts sound effect made by him; as he swiftly moves into this Bruce Lee inspired martial artist including and this is an incredibly old movie reference as well. Now I am not being racist in the slightest it was just the way things were back then; so way back when you saw Asian films; the English dubbing really, and when I say it really wasn't in sync I am just being nice in some cases. So this impersonation has incorporated that element of Asian films as Officer Larvell Jones takes down these two criminals with his greengrocer is worrying about some of his groceries getting squashed by these criminals.

Character developments and performances; the newcomers as it relates to their character types and performances to slot in perfectly and for the returning characters and performances they have been well progressed; but as like its predecessor the chemistry is faultless in this cast.

This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment; on reflection again I have decided to award my top marks, because the person I watched this sequel with as well as its predecessor ask me basically what was wrong with it for you to give it a lesser and in hindsight I couldn't find anything of major substance to pick it apart. As I have already made reference to it is only 87 minutes long, it moves things are mostly and brings in some new characters so what else would I want really? I mean you still have the upbeat/wacky comedy content so I went with top marks. This film also has won an award to its name; 1 Winner Golden Screen, Germany 1986 Golden Screen
